yes i want to do another, but not til tuesday, as im desperate not to have another fat summer, i do the gym to tone mon wed and fr,
i tues and thrs is running day
Good stuff. We'll soon have you running the "magical" 4 miles (roughly 6.5K) that we mention from time to time.
BTW if burning fat is your aim, cardio work like running, swimming and cycling is absolutely the best thing you can do. If that's the case, I'd reverse the training programme to 2 days gym, 3 days cardio. That's an "if" of course. If toning's what you're after, you're on the right track.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -

Thanks Hypno - its a shame online entry is usually more expensive than paper isnt it?? Now that would be a good one though - I'll get him to speak to the organisers about that - they could also have collection of numbers/chips on the day for some people perhaps to save on postage and envelopes...
They did this already last year Becky and most seemed to get theres taken off straight away to save the hassle and cost of posting it back
Also last year they did have bottles (water and sports drink) and I didn't see any cups, maybe it was the empty bottles that blew away as it was a tad windy up there!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Ooo Poor - can you get out to the parkrun's?? I'm going to Wimbledon again this week if you fancy it on Sat? Or there's Richmond and Bushy??
Hi Becky, I'm away this weekend but aim to do the TT at Wimbledon next Saturday. It will be a 'get me round' event I'm sure
Had planned to bus it to work this morning and run (very slowly) home but somehow found myself up and dressed for cycling . Having complained about dead legs last night whilst struggling to do the hills, some of the runners told me to persevere. Cycling will benefit my running somehow, so I'll see if it happens .
I'm trying to work on my breathing also. At the moment in for two breaths then out for two seems to be ok for running on the flat. Not so great for hills, so I'll try a different combo next Thursday. Oxygen tank anyone? :rotfl:
Red Nose evening tonight so whilst I'd like to get out in the morning for a pre-weekend away run, it might be a case of the mind being willing but the body saying "no way, catchup on sleep on the coach!". If that's the case (and who am I to ignore my body?) I'll do an hours run Sunday late afternoon when I return home. My mileage/half marathon challenge starts then :jThe 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Hi Sally! Havent seen you in a while - hope training's going well!
Stepdad mentioned cups - maybe he meant bottles - I'm pretty sure he said cups though...hhmmmm.
Its the bit along the portway that causes the problems because it is windy...anyway we've had some good suggestions about how to make it better for this year so he cant put some of those to the organisers anyway:D
