10 miles today, and my legs feel great.
It's falling into place slowly I might add....
Welcome Webitha, 25 mins is excellent and running is the best way to lose weight, my love handles and chins are dropping off.0 -
Hello webitha and welcome!
Mellika - don't worry, I still feel a bit embarrassed about posting my 'achievements' with all these experts around and especially after asking about running a marathon this morning. I never thought that I'd be doing that.
Becky - I would like to confirm my interest in Abingdon (oh, my gosh I've said it out loud now) but obviously have a lot of work to do. It would be good to meet up with peeps and I need something to work towards to keep me motivated. Would you be kind enough to pull me a plan together (pretty please)? I can send you my current training log so that you can see what I've been running recently if that would help.2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -

Well done rusty on another 10 miler - nice work, did it feel like you could have gone further??
Simply - I can indeed- I'll need you're target time, current longest run and time and how many days you'd like to train a week - pm me your email addy and I'll do the plan this evening - it might take a bit longer than a beginner one as I'll need to run it past Rich too since hes the expert

Yes Becky it did, had a bath, legs feel really good, first time after a long run. Sunday is a busy day, I hope I can fit my long run in first thing in morning.
Like others I find this thread great reading. Have a good weekend fellow runners0 -

I have decided to do my long run in the morning, so won't be running tonight. I did work out my average milage per run over the last couple of weeks (since I got my new trainers) and it is over 8 miles per run, which I am pretty pleased with......
After the disappointment of last weekend's long run, I am not making any plans - not planned a route or anything, I will just see where I go, and take it from there. That way, I can't be too focused on trying to achieve something specific. Not sure if that is a good thing or not, but I thought if I just go out to enjoy my run, I might get further!
Last weekend, one of the things I noticed was that I was needing water, so I bought some doughnut bottles today......that should solve that problem!
I am tentatively saying I would like to do Abingdon, but I will decide once I have done FLM......definitely possible though!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Fair enough Hypno - sensible and logical as always, I didnt run today either so that makes me feel better
I love my camelback I have to say - even if Rich hates it and says its pointless, I think its great for long runs because I can have free hands0
