Time for a MSE/DFW post. What do you get for your entry fee at the Abingdon mara?

Not sure its usually a medal, a t-shirt and a goody bag - banana, flap jack and a few other bits - nothing too great but you'r paying for the road closures/marshalling essentially :D

    Although if you win... :D

No, anyone gets it. It's just a quirk really, they pour you champagne from a tap, but you still pay for it, by the glass. Sadly "on tap" doesn't mean free!

See you got the mser in me all excited...its quite cheap for Sunday nights though so totally do-able I reckon (not that I'd need to stay in a hotel since I live in London but hey ;))...so I may try to book after the race for a massage and hotel stay but just come up the morning of the race :D

Wow they have a bar in London too :D

Yeah, sadly it's just like saying you have "beer on tap" - it just saves them opening a bottle to give you a glass (or stick some in their rather tasty array of cocktails).

Anyway, it might not be free, but Rich paying's the next best thing :D

On tap - but as I've discovered not free...and you could just go and stay at the hotel without running the marathon :D

    Hi everyone :hello:

I am poorly this week, forgot to say, so haven't been out at all.

    You guys are amazing.

I'm getting a bit scared that I won't be able to pull this off, or that it will take much longer and I will embarass myself. I need to convince myself it doesn't matter if I do, it's better than nothing, right?

I dunno, nursing my achey limbs atm. I guess everything seems impossible when you're having a flare-up :o
