Chickadee - excellent progression with the distance runs, you must be starting to feel really strong now. Btw can't you still get the distance from mapmyrun? So still 11 weeks to go, you are going great and well on track.:D
when are these wedding bells going to be ringing? And is the knot tying planned for the top of a mountain or at the end of a marathon? :p

Thanks coach, I'm feeling happy so far with my distance runs too. As long as I avoid injury I'm sure Prague will be good. I had a look at mapmyrun but we ran alongside the canal so I don't have any idea of where we were when we turned. Well, I do, we had just passed a blue narrowboat but I can't see it on the aerial view :p:p . There aren't any significant landmarks or street names on the canal, other than bridges and they all look the same.

As for the wedding bells, June 20th is the date and we tie the knot in the arts centre in a local park. Quite small and relaxed but brilliant if the weather is kind. We won't be incorporating a marathon into the day itself, although there is a great little half-marathon the day after which we are tempted to enter. It could be my first race with a new name.

I trust the pizza was all in the name of carbo-loading for race day ;)

Rusty - well done on the 13-miler. A great milestone to have under your belt!

    Morning All!

Up super early to eat before leaving for Brighton :D

I had a dream of running 1:42 which I feel is sightly optimistic but we shall see if comes true - this is what all the weeks of training have been about and I'm sooo excited about marathon day now only 9 weeks to go an only 8 weeks of training left - whoop whoop :D:D

    Happy running all!

Good luck on the 16 miler Sally!
  • Good morning campers!:D:D:D

Its a nice day in London and it also looks like the weather gods have delivered perfect race conditions for us in Brighton - starting cloudy and 6c and then should be sunny and 10c by the end of the race.:D

Becky seems to be overdosing on PMA and is bouncing around ready to get on with it!:D

I prefer to take the slow, que sera sera, coffee swilling approach to race day morning!:p

The results should be posted on the web before we get chance to post if anyone is interested - just google Sussex Beacon Half Marathon results, Becky's no is 5348 and mine is 5416.

Good luck Sally with the 16 miles - it really will give you a boost if you can tick that one off.

Chickadee - So from 21st June your name is changing from Miss Chickadee to Mrs Chickadee?

Great effort, Rustybucket - 13 miles is such a long way (Whoops, best not be thinking that just before setting off to do a half:p:p)

Good luck to everyone else planning runs today.:D

whoop whoop 16 miles done and dusted :) aim today was to go really slow and just get around which I did. Tell you what the prospect of running another 10 on top of that is frightening me

Perfect day for running and hope Rich and Becky have a super run (im pretty sure they won't do anything but!)
