Chickadee - excellent progression with the distance runs, you must be starting to feel really strong now. Btw can't you still get the distance from mapmyrun? So still 11 weeks to go, you are going great and well on track.:D
when are these wedding bells going to be ringing? And is the knot tying planned for the top of a mountain or at the end of a marathon?
Hypno - I feel your frustration but you've got some good work in nonetheless with the walk. A new pair of shoes and hopefully you'll be off again.
Haley - Spreading the bug, eh? You must be hooked!:D:D
Sally - Did you manage to take advantage of the spring like weather in the end?
I've been really lazy today and done precisely 0 miles, spent a chunk of the afternoon in pizza hut and walking around Windsor and Eton in the glorious sunshine. So well ready for tomorrow's race on Brighton seafront and hoping for similar weather as today!:D:D
Hope everyone has enjoyable running for the rest of the weekend.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

No rich, although DH said he was going for a quick ride, he didn't come back for over 2 hours..think he was getting some thinking and free time in. Was dark when he got back but am just planning route for tomorrow. Think I have finally got rid of stupid cold, legs feel ok. Wonder whats next to happen in my disasterous training!
Hypno, I feel exactly the same as you, I will get around even if I have to walk..not the end of the world (although I would be disapointed)I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

sallyx we have 9 weeks left. Of that, we don't do much in the last week, and the week before that I am skiing, so I have 7 weeks of "running time" left.
Remember when I first started - in 7 weeks, I went from not being able to run to the end of the road without stopping, to completing my half marathon.
On that basis, just think how much progress we can still make before April 26th!
After a few decent runs over the next week or so, you will wonder what you were ever worried about!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

I know I have to go down to London on the Saturday to collect my number from Mencap, but I am not yet sure of the exact arrangements.
16 miles? You will be well on target if you can complete anything close to that!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Good luck tomorrow Becky and Rich xx
No run for me today very tired due to being up with baby a lot last night and going to bed now, even felt tired during kids party this afternoon! Lots of screaming kids, my worst nightmare.
Up early to do 4 miles tomorrow, then going to Shropshire for another kids party, joy!0
