Speaking of which - its funny since I've had a few days off from running I do feel like my creative brain has kicked back into gear - just shows how tired I must have been :D:D:D
  • It would be nice just to get 70 miles a month done LOL

Becks glad your brain is getting back to normal, bu i do enjoy the switching the brain off when running its just a nice time just listerning to music and not thinking about anything

Just think how fantastic your run on Sunday will be, with all that rest! Good luck to both you and Rich for your half. It will be a good measure of your fitness and will be a good indicator of where you are in preparation for London. Have a good'un!

I've been a bit disrupted with half term being this week and DS being off but I managed two runs on Monday and 9 miles last night. Tomorrow I have a long canal-side run planned either towards Wigan or towards Blackburn (not finalised yet). I thought it would be very flat but apparently there are lots of locks so there may be hills! I don't know what distance will be covered, but I'm aiming to be on my feet for 3 hours so I'll check in on my clumsy return.

I tried out some new contact lenses yesterday too and am very pleased with them, so my days as a speccy runner may well be numbered.

By the way, nothing to do with running, but I bought a wedding dress yesterday and some wedding shoes today! Its starting to feel very real now and I'm really excited!

Ooooo UK you're doing intervals - very nice :D, not sure I'm so happy about those times though (grrrr far too good :D)

Hope you're warming up properly before and warming down ;)

Chick thanks for the lovely message - and some good running going on there too - I'm really excited about Sunday, but pretty nervous too - all good signs I think :D

    Hi Hayleygrey,

Good luck with the new trainers - just remember to take it slowly and try to enjoy it - truth be told it took me and month or two to properly enjoy the run - so there's no shame in being sweaty, gross and exhausted afterwards - in fact I bet thats what I look like on Sunday after my race :D

    Have fun!
