Wireless connection from the Aspire1 (running Linux) is v.v.v.v.easy !!
Providing you know the name and your WEP / WPA encryption key for your wireless router (normally a sticker on the base of the unit) ....
On the Aspire 1, select the network connection option under settings, scan for networks (making sure wireless is on), find your network, then when prompted enter the encryption key .... then your connected !!
You don't need your BT provided disk - it has various utilities, and a idiots prompted connection process (no offence) .... it's a waste of time and if you follow the above steps (which are also in the Aspire guides) - you will be connected within mins ....
Hope that helps ....0 -
