There is a cheap one at amazon:-

    Only €10.38 ( about £9.36)

There's someone selling them on FLEABAY for £11.50 (inc P&P).

May be cheaper than Amazon too if P&P is added by the Amazon seller.

Looks the same as the Amazon one too.
  • I think you can get these free on some mobile phone deals, not 100% sure but i think it may be vodafone.
  • Spoken to Asda customer services and this item is showing out of stock in all branches except Belfast. Doesn't seem like they will get anymore in stock.

    Damn.

Congrats to everyone that managed to get one.

I got one last night from the Southampton store. Another store just down the road only sold out last Sunday and said they were getting more in soon. Ring the individual stores I'd say.

called the stores around Birmingham and they are all sold out but saying that a couple of stores I spoke to didn't sound too convincing.

On the look-out for a netbook with windows operating sytem now.

I tried quite a few tutorials trying to do this, but the easiest I found was to use a program called 'USB_Multiboot_10'.

The following link should give you all the info you need:

How to install XP from USB

    Basically, you need:
    1. A working copy of XP (SP3 preferably).
    2. The program nLite v1491 if you want to intergrate any Acer One drivers you want installed during XP installation.
    3. A 2GB+ USB Flash Memory Stick
    4. The program USB_Multiboot_10
Alternatively, you can intergrate just the WiFi and/or the LAN drivers and then let XP download install the most up to date drivers for other devices via Windows Update.

    Good luck.

    Duh!!!! To me that is!

I thought you were on about XP.

I must learn to read properly! ;)

    XP installs great though.

I think Vista and Windows 7 also install fine, but they may be a bit more resource hungry than XP.

If you haven't already seen it mentioned, an extra gig of ram can be had from 'Crucial' for under a £11 delivered. Biggish job to install mind you (virtually take the whole netbook to bits). Not something for those with hammer hands or a nervous disposition. ;) But vital if you are thinking XP or Vista.
