Is the keyboard a decent size to type on?
The keyboard is 95% of the size of a standard keyboard, it takes a little bit of time to adjust but not much. Before I bought mine I asked if it was ok to see one out of the box & they were absolutely fine with that, in fact they already had an opened one for me to try out (though it was an unopened one I bought).

The above picture is taken fom the side of the AA1's box; ignore the red circle, what you are interested in is the BIOS version
Nice picture you got there ... looks familiar :rotfl:

so glad this thread was reinstated!
I'm afraid it was probably my fault it was removed, as was suggested...because I offered to get one for someone on here.
It didn't occur to me at the time that it wasn't allowed, although I can see why now.
I sent an email to the mods apologizing, and asking for my posts to be removed so that we could have the thread back.
I'm really sorry for the trouble guys....:O(

    I've been Money Tipped!
Well, I couldn't wait until tomorrow so I picked one up this afternoon.

I think I am trying to do things a bit too quickly though, ie clicking and expecting something to happen immediately.

The instruction book doesn't appear to tell you a lot about it.

I started to play the penguin game and couldn't find out how to escape, the screen froze and I ended up taking the disconnecting the battery and restarting.

    Doh!

Just above the red quit icon at the bottom of the screen is a green icon which turns grey when you click it, it says Mediawrap, can someone please tell me what that is?

You'll need to install all the drivers for the various hardware specific items (Wireless, Lan, Sound, Processor, VGA etc), these are all available from the Acer support website for the AA1.
  • A fast download source for the drivers is here
