I bought one today from the Minworth Birmingham store. They said that they had loads in the warehouse. I tried all the instructions from several sources and still cannot get my Huawei modem to connect to Linux though.0

Just posting from mine now!! After arriving home with the empty box this morning!!!!
I'm totally techno phobic (my DH does all that!) and couldn't even use a touch pad till now. Let's just say I'm getting there with practice - and to anyone who is wavering, go and get one! No problems with the Linux operating system so far either - if I can get used to it, anyone can!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
:heart2: RIP Clio 1.9.93 - 7.4.10 :heart2:

Couldn't live with the limitations of the 'acer desktop', so did the simple hack to unlock the full desktop.
However, I realy don't like the layout of Linpus.
Had a look at other linux distro's, but according to the AA1 user forums the driver support is not there yet - and the installation instructions were scary even for the tech. savvy amongst us.
So....i'm in the process of constructing a bootable XP installation on a usb pen drive so I can install XP!
An OS i'm familiar with, and is guaranteed to have good driver support direct from the manufacturer.0 -
Love mine but @ key types as " and £ sign as #, the " key is @ but cant find £ on any key

Anyone else got the same problem??0 -
Decided to bite the bullet and buy one of these . It's really great and simple to set up on Orange Broadband. As a bonus, I was lucky to be sold a 160 G one!
There were still some left at the huge Tamworth store yesterday (Sunday), but I would advise phoning up in advance before travelling any great distance.

You've got it set to a US keyboard. (you should have been prompted to set it during the first boot)
Right click on the 'EN' icon in the system tray & you should get a popup menu with 1 item; select it. You should now be able to correct your keyboard/language/locale settings to English/UK.0 -
