...still can't believe I got there!
Thanks those who encouraged me to try again. I did some more googling and found someone with a similar problem and they succeeded in accessing Internet via their AOL ISP by changing connection to PPPoE-O.butterfly )i(0 -
Great little notebook.
The only thing that's annoying me is that I am unable to find any drivers to set up my wireless Lexmark X4050?
I have e-mailed Lexmark but I've got a feeling that they will say their software isn't compatible?"Hope for the Best

Hey, well done!
Well, I was going to get one in my lunch break but have still not resolved my modem issue. I've got a ZTE MF622 on 3. Anything I've found about this working on linux seems VERY complicated! Looks like I'll need to get a windows notebook. The search starts again...0 -

Have you tried the Lexmark download page, they seem to do Linux drivers for a lot of products. I couldn't find a X4050 listed anywhere!!! There is an N4050e listed...

I am thinking of getting one of these but I only need it to use away from home with a Usb dongle (Huawei E220) I don't want to buy and find it does not work. Does anyone know for certain that I can use it with the dongle. I am not very technical so it will not have to be anything too difficult.
Theres an updated driver on the Aspire website for this
