Hi all, done a few bit's this weekend ( as well as getting bloomin sunburn!!) we were going to order sugarcraft butterflies to decorate our cake but I found these on Etsy last night
and even my oh thought they were good so for $12 which is only about £7.50 we bought them.
Also got some makeup samples from elemental beauty so will be playing about with that when my nose calms down, it's looking a bit rudolph like at the moment:rudolf:
Might have a photographer after all, turned out she hadn't received my emails:mad: so I'm just waiting to hear back what we actually get for the £350 package before we make a decision on that one.Booo!!!0 -
Violetta - that looks stunning!!0

Hi Ladies,
Hope you all had a good sunny weekend. I'm now nicely tanned with no strap marks
Steph - sorry to hear about your job. I totally understand how stressful it is. Just remain positive and think of your nice honeymoon after it all. Good luck with the job applications - I'm sure it will go well. I got my first 50% reduced pay today which was rather demotivating and tbh I think they're gonna make me redundant by the end of the month anyway
Violetta - I love those butterflies. You've reminded me to get my cake topper sorted and to book an appointment with my cake lady to taste the cakes - mmmmmm lol
Aimee - Welcome back! Where have you been??
I ordered my wedding band on Saturday and it is luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuush lol. No, it really is pretty. Basically I am using my Grandmother's wedding band (its about 70 years old ) and am having diamonds put in all the way around. The setting has completetly gone out of my head. I think it was pave setting - or maybe not. I'm just obsessed with crazy paving at the mo lol. I'll see if I can find a similar pic and post it up. Took my sister with me, and she's got our other Grandmother's ring and wanted it customed so she could wear it on her right hand. Anyway, she is not the sparkly, blingy, girly type at all, so we though she'd only go for one or two stones. Anyway, she's only gone for exactly the same as me but is having sapphire and diamonds instead of just diamonds!!! Then she drops in that she might be getting married - but just for tax reasons. Pah - she's been with her guy for 15 years - I'm sure its more than tax reasons lol. She's always said that she'll never get married.
Anyway, my ring costs £450 which I'm very happy with. Leaves a little left ober to buy H2B a ring lol.
I cannot belive my office doesn't have air conditioning - it's a hottie outside today0 -
OOOOOO @ Violetta's butterflies!
Can you send me the link to them? they are absolutely gorge and don't look tacky and fake! WoW!
I am getting the chair covers sorted on my side, got problems with our wedding rings but getting that sorted too.
Sweetsend had finally understood what dress and what modifications I required on it so hoping to have it ordered by the end of the week.
Had the in-laws aroudn this weekend and FIL had his suit-fitting but I had to be extra diplomatic and yet put up with the women shopping for the sister's bals than shopping for me and my wedding.
I have my hair trial booked for the 11/07 and one of my bridesmaid and her girlfriend are coming to take pictures/comment.
I have also found the loveliest fake flowers in Dunelm Mills: some fake big petals poppy-like bunches and some fake ivory roses. Will need 2 bunches of poppies for each bridesmaid @ £2.99 and will buy a few of the ivory rose bunches @ £5 for 17 of them to decorate the ceremony venue with.
I also bought some very big ivory open roses to use as a basis for making my feather and crystal bouquet... Something like this really:

And I have filled the form for booking the chair covers and OH has to send it back with the deposit cheque.
Got a lot sorted!"Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye

My dad just told me earlier about a reception he was at a few weeks ago for a couple who had got married abroad, it wasn't til 11.30 at night that someone noticed the cake in the corner of the room!!! Everyone had forgot about it, too busy enjoying themselves I suppose.Booo!!!0 -
my theme is silver and red... ,maybe have some silver butterflies posing on top of the red flowers on top of the cake or something...
Thank you so much, they are fab!"Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye

Sorry, I'm back now! It has been a crazy week off wedding planning. Getting a bit (or a lot!) fed up of it now- the list keeps getting longer.0

Sammy_girl we have aircon at work & it's awful, it is never right we all have to wear 3 or 4 layers at work as it's either too hot or too cold & this varies throughout the day.Booo!!!0 -
Same here Violetta, but it's always too cold: it's absolutely gorgeous outside! Gotta bring a jumper into the office! How to be NOT fashionable at work...
I had to ask for my collection to be given to me as cash unfortunately: I already got a voucher for 5 years of service for shops like M&S, Amazon, B&Q etc and a voucher from my team mates for £40 for M&S.
The only 2 things I could think of that I needed or could get from the high street were either flowers (and Interflora does not do online gift vouchers) or a bikini which would require Rigby and Peller vouchers (not very appropriate to hand over lingerie vouchers in a work environment).
The deposit for the chair covers is gone. I got the ref code to give to the H Samuels customer service so they can see if they can fix the rings. i also have my friend beautician coming over on the hen weekend to do makeup trials and tell me how to improve my skin."Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye
