    Hi Ladies,

Cant believe were all so far along now. I have good news! The necklace I got in the M&S sale that I only got one of, A lady off the Grabbit forum went and has managed to get me another one and to top it off her daughter also has one she said I can have so I know have 3 for all of my BMS :D
I have also narrowed down the choices for the gifts for them, its between these 2 things

    http://www.confetti.co.uk/product/view/67752-8429-0-White_leaves___butterfly_mirror.do?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=400040738108

I love the jewellery box and like that I can get it engraved but Im sure I could also get the Mirror engraved but I cant decide which to get?

My BMs are 22, 24 and 25? thought I could also use the jewellery boxes for the mums as well although that has opened up a whole other can of worms....

I want to get my mum a present as she has helped out loads already but then I feel I should get OHs mum a gift aswell but she isnt sitting on the top table his grandparents are so then should i get his Grandma something and if I get her one I feel I should get something for his other one too?

Any suggestions or am I just stressing over nothing?

Hi Val, how about a sml bottle of bubbly and a bunch of flowers for a present?

I'm thinking I'll the presents quietly (i.e. not in front of everybody) so that no one can think that "so-n-so got more than me"

Hi MrsShaigh *wave* How are the plans coming?

My invites, while very pretty, have been somewhat of an embaressment :o I had to ring my uncle yesterday and beg forgivness as I had put the wrong name down for his partner :o

I hope you find the car you want Violetta, wouldn't have thought a white/cream taxi would be so hard to find!

How did the crazy-paving go Sammy? Think of how toned your legs must be now :)

71 days to go till the wedding and 31 days till the hen do
Oh no how embarassing about your uncles invite!! Were they ok about it, please tell me you didn't put his ex's name!
I don't need a flash car, it's just something to get me from my house to the venue & when a cream taxi opassed me the other month I thought it would do nicely. Saw the blooming thing tonight going oposite direction in rush hour!! Found out on my google trawl it's not a new idea I think these look nice might just have to send a letter to the local paper.
    Booo!!!

    Coor you're up late Violetta!

Apparently the uncle went really quiet but when I rang him he seemed ok, I told him that I would understand if his OH comes in and throws red wine at me! I put my other Uncle's OH's name :o

I like the look of those cars :)

Hi girls. Haven't contributed for a while (damn my laziness!)

Done lots of wedding stuff today (it's about time!). Found my MOH some shoes that match her dress. Took a chance and they fit her! Ordered my shoes- had to order half a size bigger so fingers crossed. Also got the favours- Sainsbury's have boxes of 12 mini Green and Blacks organic chocolate bars for £3.20 a box! H2B also ordered my wedding present from the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham biggrin.gif
I also had my hair trial yesterday. So happy with this one. Having a half up, half down style. I did take pics but they didn't seem to save. It looks like these piccies (except I don't have a fringe).

Hey mrshaigh2b - we are wedding twins :)

Just come back to report on the dress fitting, it was fine, the lady that measured me initially at the sale in October was the lady doing my alterations which put me at ease as she was very nice. So it all went well. I tried a couple of lovely veils as well but they were very pricey - £130 each:eek: so I have been looking on ebay but cant find anything that comes close. So if I cant find anything by the time I go back to pick the dress up on 30th June I will just have to buy one of those.

SmlSave - I am with you, I prefer to give the gifts separately as I dont want to make a big show of it, also we are giving the chief bridesmaid and best man more than the others, because they have done more but I dont want any of the others to feel bad on the day.

Glad to hear everyones plans are progressing nicely. Aimee - thanks for posting those links, I need a few ideas! The lady at the fitting said I should wear my hair up but I prefer it down. She said I would get too hot and sweaty (my hair is almost waist length but fine textured although she does have a point). So I dont know what to do now, something else I have to think about. My best man and his gf want to pay for my hair and make up for the wedding present but I dont want them to spend a fortune because we mention the W word to people. Really do need to get it sorted though in order to get the timeslot.

On top of all this, our company has been through collective consultation and we have reduced our headcount, now its HR's turn and we have been restructured and all have to apply for a reduced number of jobs. There are none at my level so I have to apply for a promotion and a demotion. The decision will be made by 15th June and then the people not put into jobs will be out by the end of June. I am trying to be positive and see it as an opportunity but with everything else thats going on I feel pressure from all sides now. My job is really busy and demanding, then there is the wedding to sort out and now I have to apply for (very few) jobs.

There isnt much left to sort out for the wedding but it does feel like a lot just because everything seems to be happening at once.
  • yay stephk i have a wedding twin!x
