oh no SmlSave! Why have they fallen out? (mine had petty arguments when choosing dresses but otherwise OK!)
Booked my hair and make up trial for 18th July and provisionally booked appointment for the wedding day. I was going to do it myself but then came to my senses and realised how stressed I would be and probably end up doing it several times!! It is quite expensive (£75 for the trial and £175 for the day) but hopefully worth it. The best man and his gf have paid for the wedding day hair and make up for our wedding present which is so generous and I was totally blown away. I didnt expect that.0 -
They've fallen out over the hen party of all things  It sounds like they haven't really been communicating, the 1st party is booked but I'm doubting its been researched properly  the 2nd party hasn't been booked so now I'm getting involved. :wall: You'd think they could have got themselves organised
I'm sure the hair and make-up will be worth it stephk and such a nice gift too
How is everyone else doing?
P.S. I fully admit that I am a control freak and that I would have had the parties book months agoCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

lol - I was actually jealous of not being able to book the hen parties!! Relinquishing control was difficult hehe...
I actually put one of them in charge but to consult with the others. I know theyve been giving her grief but having one person in charge means they can give their opinion and she has final say. I just hope that my views have been taken on board (ie no 'traditional' hen type stuff like wearing of L plates etc or strippers - not my thing at all!!)
Hope they all manage to sort themselves out, I am sure they just want to make it a nice time for you and everyone else.0 -
I hated not booking my hen do too! Im normally the one in our group who is in the thick of sorting everything out lol0

I've arranged my own hen do. Good job really, I've not heard from my chief for over a month now despite numerous attempts to contact her. Saw the vicar on Tuesday and arranged our proper meeting with him, arranged the Banns being read and also our rehearsal
He did say that he was going to get round to ringing us (so any of you August brides in a panic about not seeing the vicar yet - chill!)
x0 -
I've specifically asked for no strippers either stephk.:)
I guess I just don't trust people to organise things as well as I couldor think I could.
I hope your chief gets in touch soon blonde36er!
I just received my email from the venue askign for the final appointment, am beginning to feel like the big day is rushing towards us!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I've arranged my own hen do too! Well the main one anyway! It was just easier that way as I have got friends spread out all over the shop and didn't want anyone to be missed. There are 30 of us going to manchester this weekend! Argh! I think my bridesmaids have been up to something though! I've got 3 from where I grew up (my oldest and bestest friends) and I've got 3 from where I live now (also very good friends) but they have only met once. Anyway I overheard a couple of them talking and they mentioned they'd e-mailed one of my other bridesmaids (who they don't know!) so I think something may be going on! Hopefully it's not a stripper or I'll die!!!! lol! Can't wait for the night though!
I'm nervous about it though as I want everyone to enjoy themselves! I'm having another smaller one just with about 9 of my closest friends and 2 of my bridesmaids have sorted that one out so that is good! Finally decided to start growing up when it comes to money!:j

Hope you have a lovely weekend

And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!0 -
Well because there are so many of us we are heading to Deansgate Locks as then no one can get too lost! We are going to the Comedy Store first for a meal followed by a stand-up show then drinks in the rest of the bars around the Locks. The hotel is just round the corner too so if anyone has had enough they can head off back on foot without faffing around with taxi's.
If you google Deansgate Locks it will come up with all the bars along there. I've been a few times and have enjoyed it a couple of the times but a couple of times it has been full of ten-bob millionaires who think they're something - however I am going with 29 other people so I will be within the company I want so I wont be bothered about anyone else! x xFinally decided to start growing up when it comes to money!:j
