Steph, your plans sound like they're coming along nicely. H2B wants to have London landmarks as our table names, but I don't know whether to have that or just numbers. I'm clearly not very creative lol.
Thanks for the kind words on the honeymoon Violetta and Steph. I'm just going to go for it, and put every spare penny I have towards it. If it means I have to flog some of my handbags on ebay, then so be it! I should have been paid last Thursday but wasn't, so thats annoyed me as I need the money in my bank to pay the travel agent lol. Hopefully, I should get paid tomorrow . We did pick up some brochures on Disneyland when we passed a travel agents today, so that cheered me up and has spurred me on to pay the thing off!0 -
Sammy_Girl - if you do sell your handbags on ebay let me know I can never resist a good handbag purchase
although H2B will kill me lol.
The reason I wanted landmarks rather than numbers was so that people wouldnt think anything negative about being on table 10. I am sure they wouldnt and Im being overly paranoid but also want to show the wedding is in London.
Bought a set of 12 circular mirrors on ebay, only need 9 but as they came in a set... ended up paying about £45, H2B not happy but surely we can sell them afterwards?? Im the one thats paying anyway not him!!
Wasnt stressed or nervous but now starting to get a bit and its still 3 months away, who knows what kind of state Ill be in when its only a month away :eek:0 -
I think the landmark idea is great, i'd want love to be on the London Eye Table. xx0

Eurgh, well our plans aren't going so great. We're looking into a new venue to save money and are cancelling our honeymoon to Mexico - again for the money more than anything. Hoping with the travel vouchers we've done for a gift list, we might be able to book something for next year.
The invites are here although they potentially have the wrong venue on them now and we only have a few things left to organise.
I can't wait till this is all over if i'm honest at the moment!
SK xAfter 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j
And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!0 -
Can you not keep the venue after cancelling the trip to Mexico?
I hope if you find a venue you fall in love with sexki11en ((hugs))Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I cant believe its 13 weeks tomorrow for me, I think emotions are actually starting to hit...
Bluemeanie999 - glad you are back on track now with progress.
Sexki11en - sorry to hear things are not going well for you and I hope that the situation improves. With your travel vouchers, you will be able to book somewhere really lovely and still have a nice wedding.
Also trying to be tight with money and not going out much. Sometimes I cant believe my bridesmaids get a bit miffed that I cant meet for a drink after work. Yes it will be a cheap night, but it still adds up and I am rubbish at going and having one drink!! I have organised loads of BBQs on my terrace and cheap events (like BYO booze curry places where your night out will be a tenner) where lots of people can attend, why do we need to go to a wine bar during the week and spend £20!!!0 -

Are you another August 8-er then? I think it's 13 weeks for me too.
Had a bit of a wobble last night, my Mum, stepdad and two of my bridesmaids are now going on holiday the week before the wedding and don't get back to England until midnight on 7 August  My wedding falls right in the middle of my stepdad's work shutdown so the only other affordable option was for them to go the day after the wedding...to Turkey (where we're going on honeymoon - I think I would rather have chanced that! :rotfl:)
I'm a bit sad because we were planning to have a great big family meal on the Friday so everyone could meet everyone else, but that won't be happening now. I'm just going to be praying that their flight home isn't delayed...
Anyway, how are all you other brides/grooms to be? Time is ticking on!0 -
91 days till Wedding on the 7th August! Scary isn't it? I can feel myself on the edge of panic when I think of it like that!
I have to go and chase up my dress today, they've had it since Januray to replace a few beads and its still not done - grrrrCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
