Aw thank's girls, I'm going to do a bit of research over the weekend then maybe speak to them next week. I spoke to my friend who has worked in catering and she say's they may justify it by saying they need to employ the extra staff ie chef/waiting staff on top of the normal restaurant staff but just, can't see how more than doubling the cost is justified.
I can see them charging a little extra to cover cost of waiting staff but doubling it just getting more of out it because of the W word I really hope you get a result0 -
Hi Brides 2 Be!!!!!!
I am just the worst thread starter ever!!!! I'm so sorry, I haven't been on here and updated the list in ages!!!!! Welcome to our new brides
Well, I have been one busy bride 2 be this past week. We got the invites out this week :j Slightly worried, as my target day numbers is 80 (this is the min numbers at the venue), and if every person invited comes, it'll be 117  But I know certain people aren't coming but due to family politics we're inviting them to be politeIt'll be just my luck that they'll all decide to come lol. Didnt get the evening invites done as we ran out of invites. Me, my mum and MIL2B made the invites ourselves, and they look bloody good if i'm honest lol. Just need to order some cards and stuff from Confetti and then we'll get the evening ones done.
Had my first dress fitting last week :j But now peeved with my veil. Bought an elbow length from Ebay for £25 - but it's too short for my dress. So then I tried on the fingertip length one in the shop and I looooove it - but it's £79
Oooh, I got the cutest little outfit ever from BHS. One of my BMs will have an 8 month old baby at the wedding and I wanted to dress him to match the bridal party but wasn't having much luck finding something his size. Well, BHS do a little outfit for 6-9 months :j So I got him an ivory shirt, ivory waistcoat with gold bits and a gold cravat!! Sounds awful but its lush!!! They did have a jacket but not trousers in his size - so i'm hoping to find those online. Just haven't shown BM yet - not sure what she will think lol.
Gosh I'm banging on tonight. Sorry girls. Hope all is good with your plans

I am loving the baby pageboy outfits - even if he just wears it for the ceremony and the photos then he can have his babygro back on lol. He is going to look just the cutest!!!0 -

Congrats on the dress Violetta. I'm having a BM dresses wobble. Bought one back in the autumn from Landy as a trial dress, and now I'm ready to order another 4 and she hasn't replied to my email  Mum's now seen some nice ones on sale in BHS so they may have to be my back ups lol.
Aaargh, im dogsitting parents in law 2 be's dog this weekend and i don't know if my dog and their dog are currently fighting or playing! There's no flying fur or bared teeth - so I'm guessing playing lol0 -
AAArgh , the dress is too small, well it fit's but she won't be able to grow so much as a cm. I wouldn't mind, I know she is very big for her age but she won't be 4 for 3 months and the dress is age 6!!! They had loads of dresses in Debenham's so will nip back tomorrow and try a few on her.
Sammygirl can't remember which thread I saw it on but if you do go for BHS dresses check the zip's I think someone said they had bother with them.Booo!!!0 -
Yayyyy!!! I am a date quad.
I heard that it's more likely to have a monsoon in September than August and if it does rain it'll be a 10 minute downpour. That's what I am hoping anyway!:j
Phew!! And lets face it, its not going to be the same miserable rain as here, I am sure it will be fine0 -
