Well, I don't think anyone could be as awful as the OP - honestly trying to get international calls as inclusive and I DON'T want to know what you were doing in the alleged shower for an hour. :rolleyes: I should have thought five minutes would suffice.

I do think that no lodger could be so truly awful, but I have enjoyed reading it.

Replying as if the post was serious - you have threatened someone, a female, and you are supposed to be a 29 year old male, and you are in her home, where she is supposed to feel safe. Just leave, you want to leave, just leave. I believe it is very flat near Amsterdam, so the hills there are not a problem.

And, yes, someone exhibiting the behaviour of the OP is a mean, selfish a*se and is also a manipulative, bullying slob.

calm down and read all your posts on this thread and then put yourself in her shoes (and the other housemates)

be sensible now. If you've got 4 people and 1 bathroom, now if everyone is considerate and spends no more than 15 mins showering etc then there is no problem. If most people have to be at work say for 9am, you can't all take 50 mins in the bathroom or else everyone will be late for work. What do you possibly do in there that takes that long?

Nor should you continue to use her linen when you could easily get your own.

Why should she or anyone else clean the greasy kitchen after you?

Why should everyone else provide loo rolls, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs etc?

Tbh, if you were that intimidating to me, I would insist you left straightaway too.

i went into the bathroom after i'd been online this morning and then tap tap tap on the door - it was her. she said she wanted to talk to me and could i hurry as she was in a rush and had an appointment.

i told her i could spend as long as i liked in there and she did her nut again! she said i was selfish inconsiderate and mean. i found this really insulting and told her that if i wanted to spend one hour in the bathroom that was my business and she said - her words - WE HAVE TO CONSIDER EVERYONE! well she has not considered me.

i then told her i was okay with moving out tomorrow and she said to me that when i moved in it was not meant to be a short term let and i must have known that. so i said my circumstances have changed and i need to move. she said again she was not running a hotel and that she now had to go through the process of finding another lodger and she was very angry about the situation.

she then said she would give me my deposit after she found out how much the telephone bill and gas/electric bills were. i reminded her that it was all inclusive and she was being difficult.

she went even more bananas and said i could leave right now! i could see she was really angry but i was too and i told her not to push me somewhere i didn't want to go. she then went really mad and said - her words - ARE YOU THREATENING ME! - and i said no i didn't mean it that way. she said what do you mean then? and i said i will call the police if you try and throw me out.

she went even more ballistic and sais she could call the police and get me slung out!

luckily she had a meeting to go to and had to go out but said to me she would talk to me later. she was fuming when she left. she also asked me for my keys and i refused and said i would not let her have them

the situation is now i have come to work and will be back there tonight. i think she is being really difficult and just trying to keep my deposit. she even called me mean! when i asked her to repeat what she said, she said - her words - you are mean. a selfish tight a*se!

i will not be spoken to like this by anyone. she is taking the p as far as i'm concerned.

I hope she keeps the deposit and calls the police to throw you out!
And this is coming from a student renter, not a landlord. Meeting people like you is the biggest problem with sharing with randoms.

Actually yes - there are lots of posts on the boards saying how easy it is to change the locks. I wonder what the other alleged tenants are like? Any rugby players? Bouncers? If I was late for work due to a newcomer (and if you see how much he allegedly eats you can make a good impression of what he looks like!) I'd be upset and the landlady would be the least of the alleged worries.

If this is serious I feel sorry for everyone else in the house. Particularly the landlady who will be getting it in the neck from everyone. You don't want to be there...she doesn't want you to be there. Just leave and everything will be better for all concerned.

And no I'm not a landlady.

These could have been 2 sides of one coin if the dates had been different.

No need to be put off having lodgers Furndire. 99.9% of them are absolutely fine. You just get the odd 2whatt like this guy that's all

Having read the thread, I'm in 2 minds on this!!!

1) Troll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As many of you have indicated.

or 2) I have seen similar thought processes/behaviour and can picture at least 4 people having these conversations!
How about, (bear in mind we only have the honesty of the OP here so I would like to think that he may respond, if he is honest with himself) the OP is being honest with what he has said and written?

His posts, incredibly candid and factual (all the little details, to his detriment) screams Autistic Spectrum Condition to me (more probably Aspergers Syndrome).

Or I could just be talking our of my 'arris?!
