Hi everyone,
It's late but I'm struggling through work this week. Came home and fell asleep for a couple of hours. Then made pork chops topped with apple sauce and cheese with mash and carrot and swede. I love my new cooker and hob, it's only now I realise how ropey the old one was and why I'd lost a lot of enthusiasm for cooking.
Must go and sort the kitchen now and then bed. TGF tomorrow.

Just got back from the library & a quick look round our town. Got 4 hot water bottles in Home Bargains for 99p each so pleased at that. There's bound to be another cold snap soon! Also got 2 x 3kg tubs of Orangina sorbet for a pound in Jack Fulton's, a local frozen & bargain food shop. .
God I remember them from when I lived in Leeds - Horsforth. They were fab. sadly we dont seem to have a lot of the bargain stores. I looked 3 of them up the other day and all seem to be Liverpool/ NW/Yorkshire based. We do have a 99p shop which is in Ealing.not sure its worth a £2.20 return 1 hr each way bus trip tho...What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Hi guys,
Hi Moggins :hello:
I have just pulled out the last lot of drying - lights - and there is a black pair of jeans in and amongst it   from the stained clothing it's gone through the washer with them too!! I'm too bloomin tired to do anthing about it tonight but will try and salvage the damage tomorrow.
The house is clean, ironing done, veggies prepped to throw on the SC tomorrow with some pork from the weekend, herbs and plenty of garlic! LOL the kids hate garlic but if I don't tell them they think it's lovely!;)
The boiler died on Wednesday and yes it's a combi, apparently the board has gone and it's going to cost £350 to get it fixed! The bloomin thing was only serviced about a month ago. Still on the plus side it will be fixed tomorrow and this time last year we couldn't have afforded to get it fixed so I can't moan too much. Thankfully the fires are working now after their saga so we aren't too cold and the weather isn't as bad as it has been.
Tomorrow the fellow who helped us get the mortgage is coming - 'posh title' my financial adviser!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: He rang on Tuesday and said it was time to take Eric's name off the house insurances and the mortgage - the final job so to speak. Bless him, he came after we lost Eric and sat and went through everything with me and reassured me about the mortgage as I was in full panic about losing our home. He's never charged a penny for any of the help or paperwork that he did for me either.:T :T
We got soaked today getting DD to her gymnastics but my lovely SIL picked her up so it has saved the fare home for us (we walked to the free shuttle bus after droppping her off). She absoloutely loves it so when this course ends I hope to arrange something a little more time/cash friendly for the future.
Very gentle hugs to all of you tonight, there are so many of you going through the mill at the moment, my thoughts are with you all.
