When I posted this morning the last post showing was one from black paw on 14th November and the final page was showing as '42'.

I returned this pm, only to find a whole host of posts from yesterday and the final page showing as '21'. I haven't a clue whether it's a problem with the forum or one with my computer:rolleyes:. I apologise therefore if my post seemed to be ignoring everyone and very self-absorbed :o.

Anyway I just wanted to offer support to those who posted yesterday. Lady M - I hope you are feeling better after your RTA and Sandy 71, I agree with Lame Wolf and hope you won't let anyone put you off posting.

Lame Wolf it is good to see you back and I hope you managed some quality time with your DH.

OMG UNITY - I haven't heard of half these things!! DS was diagnosed aged 12 with Graves disease (hyperthyroidism) he was soo poorly but docs at med centre had me down as a hypochondriac then and an over-anxious mother. There's obviously a pre-disposition to auto-immune illnesses running in our family. Also a genetic condition and poor DS also inherited a genetic blood disorder from his dad - not the best breeding stock!! We,re due to see a geneticist at some point but having a had time getting all the family info together.
CF isn't taken all that seriously is it??
I think we all deserve a bloody medal!!!
Feel free to moan - I visit a lovely lady, very poorly but still soldiering on, and she lets rip with a good 'F' this and 'F' that. I never mind cos it makes her feel better!!
    Take care xx

LOL I always reckon it's better to let out a few expletives than to clock somebody! Which is my excuse for the air in Milton Keynes being vivid blue this morning!:D

Good news; let's hope the person they refer you to is on the ball.

'Over anxious mother' eh? The last time this was said to me was by an auxiliary nurse - after my DD was offered two paracetamol following a rotational osteotomy:eek:. The op involved basically cutting the femur in half, turning it (to straighten it) and bolting it back together with surgical Meccano. A little firm insistence ;) finally produced a doctor with proper medication .

It's rotten when everything comes at once like this, but at least the referral is a positive result for a change. I hope you get a good specialist.

don't beat yourself up -you've got to start being your own best friend instead of being so hard on yourself. If you were your best mate you'd say to them someting along the lines of "ok - today was a bit of a write-off - you obviously needed the sleep . . . " Get my drift?!!
