don't beat yourself up -you've got to start being your own best friend instead of being so hard on yourself. If you were your best mate you'd say to them someting along the lines of "ok - today was a bit of a write-off - you obviously needed the sleep . . . " Get my drift?!!

Hi Lamewolf - nice to see you dropped - all going well?

How are you Crazygirl? Did you get any sleep last night or is your sleep pattern well and truly up the creek? I hate it when I'm all out of synch!!
I had a good day at work today - I work for BIL and I do enjoy it - beats most of the other carp jobs I've done to hold this family together!!! I'm learning as well which keeps it fresh - Sage accounts for a start!!
If I could I would stay on this dose of steriods forever. The dose is dropping slowly and I can feel the aches at the end of the day but its liveable. When I go on to the big dose I'm sooo full on - I must get on everyone's nerves!!! I talk 19 to the dozen like I've got to say and plan eveything before the brain fog hits in again!!!
I'm even planning Christmas!! I would like to break up our little pattern a bit and do things differently this year. I'm very aware, every day at the moment, that my thoughts tend to be "this time last year such and such happened" It was a really bad time and I don't want to be reliving it and reminding every else about it all.
Its time for change in Jennihen's coup!!!!!!
I hope everyone else has had their little joyspot touched today and if not
    I'll be thinking of you,.
    Stay warm and cosy
    JH x

i'm !!!!ed off, went to doctors with bf whose been feeling really down recently and the doctor ust wrote him off, told him he just needs to gte some sleep (yeah the fact he's down means he isn't sleeping). i'm so angry as i had a similar expereince and know how upsetting it can be for someone to ignore how much effort it took for you to go in the first place :(

Is there another doctor on his panel that he can see? It must be awful to be treated like this and if necessary he needs to change GP to someone more sympathetic.

I am very lucky with my GP although there is another on the panel who is a right 'dicktor' :D. I've also met my share of educated idiots where specialists are concerned  so I can see why you're so frustrated.

Good luck with getting him the help he needs.

Good night to everyone - may your sleep be peaceful and may you wake refreshed and pain free .

Yeah, like that'll happen :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: but it's the thought that counts

I have told him to see another GP who i know is good with MH (sadly he can't see mine who's wonderful!). Lol there are now 3 doctors who i've "blacklisted" at our surgery (including the one who when i presented as suicidal, told me to get a good nights sleep, and go back to work, and then gave me enough temazepam to do some serious damage with!!)!!

Hopefully he'll be ok. :( I'm just finding it hard being on the other side so to speak. Its occurred to me even with all my years of experiencing depression i don't have the first clue how to help someone close to me experiencing depression :( I just hope i'm not making things worse for him.

what a total plank! docs liek that do my nut in. after you pluck up the courage to be truthful about your feelings to get shot down liek that is awful. i hope that he will get a better result with another doc x

I am sure that knowing he has a great girlfriend who supports and cares about him will help enormously. Just by knowing how things do and don't work where docs are concerned is a help in itself :T.
