  • god I'm struggling today. I feel so so sad, even though I have no reason to be. I have work to do, and just thinking about it upsets and scares me. My body hurts, and I don't want to move (no idea how I made it to town and back this morning).

I want to curl up and die :(

Sorry I am not up to posting properly just at present, the trip up to Scotland to see DD1 at the weekend has really taken it out of me plus the arachnoiditis has me fidgeting like mad :o.

In addition a copy of the letter from the consultant to my GP arrived and seems to suggest that what I said went in one ear and out the other completely bypassing the brain .

Big hugs to all who need them :grouphug: and for those who don't, cake, :coffee: or .

thats exactly how i feel about my husband sandy, i get so upset when i think about all the extra stuff he has to do that an ordinary hubby wouldnt but he assures me that his life wouldnt be better, he says 'i didnt have to but i promised a bald man to love you forever!' (weve been married exactly two months today and the register was bald hehe)

I'm so glad its not just me, thank you. Your husband sounds lovely, we have been married for almost 15 years now and this is our biggest challenge.

I was at the hospital today and was told I HAD to take some time off work sick (I have been resisting for months) and I have agreed. I spoke to my boss and its been agreed. I know it will help but at the moment I feel awful about it, I love my job.

Hope everyone is ok, sorry for complaining so much :o

  • youre not complaining, youre just expressing how you feel which is a healthy thing to do in my book, hence why talkign therapies are so widely used.

i think soem time off will do you good, you can rest and allow yourself to switch off a bit then build back up to full capacity doign things you enjoy

Good Morning all - I hope everyone is well. I have been getting over Swine flu so have had time to read more of this thread.
I've decided to order some books from the library about depression because I'm beginning to see how it affects different people. Also the causes of it vary so much - if that makes sense!!
I understand why I'm depressed and much of it relates to having Lupus and CF but the bereavements I suffered this year brought up a whole load of childhood stuff that I thought was buried deeply in the past.
I wish I could find my get up and go, and get on with my life!!!
Anyway I wish you all a good Friday and hope you find a little piece of joy to keep you going. Best wishes

Jennihen, my get up and go got up and went years ago!

Folks, sorry I haven't been around lately - the big bad Black Dog grabbed me, tossed me around a bit and threw me into the abyss.:(

I won't bore you with the details, but I'm gradually trying to climb back out.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Hi Lamewolf - good to see you back here. I'm sorry you,ve been struggling. I enjoy reading your posts, they're so balanced and calming.
I had a guilt-free day off work today and had a lovely sleep. I now feel ready to hit the weekend head-on!!
I'm looking at new houses at the moment and actually have a little tingle of exitement instead of the gut-wrenching dread I usually have about this.
I've seen a nicely done-up GradeII listed cottage in town. 4 beds,2 recp so big enough for my brood!! I can afford it - its just a question of whether I can get a mortgage. Thankfully both my sisters have said they will help if necessary. If anyone had told me a year ago I'd be in this position I never would have believed them. Just gotta get my head round packing up this place. I've been renting from friends for the last 4 years - its a new-build so very cramped, no garden and really bad access which is no help when I'm ill.
On a reducing dose of steroids at the mo so positively relishing the prospect of no pain for the next week or so!!
Take care Lamewolf and everyone else out there
