Totally empathise with your situation, not fun is it?I think the only difference is I gave up smoking over 21 years ago and it was the best thing I have done, even though I've had some times when I would have lit one from desperation
. It's also difficult to tell what is a menopause symptom and what is a reaction to Thyroxin. I'm waiting for blood tests after seeing the rheumatologist and now need to see yet another specialist . I'm disillusioned with the NHS, a lack of answers and a lack of help. Thankfully my GP is very helpful.
I hope you get sorted out, feel free to PM me, since we seem to be in the same boat, or I may see you at the captain's table :rotfl:.Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

Hi UnluckyT!
It is difficult when your GP is not supportive, hopefully a different doctor will be a positive step forward?
If you are not feeling right, then you are not well, you know your body/ head much better than anybody else.
Maybe you could write down how you are feeling, to help you at your appointment?Gone ... or have I?0 -
i usually write in a diary, but it trying to keep at it, i just got to be persistant i spose, plus it trying to stand up for myself as ive a little trouble with work, mainly due to having to do a specific thing im not happy with, bieng told that ive got t get on with it and that as a csa i cant say no. plus im worried as ive overheard someone of quite a high possision brag to someone on a level below them that they forced someone out i used to work with and it partly thier fault im kinda stuck in work like i am.
thanks again for support0 -

I said in a previous post that I did not get on well with CBT, but from what you describe it sounds like it may benefit you. Could you ask your GP for a referral to a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist? They can help you with coping mechanisms, and to work through particular issues.Gone ... or have I?0 -
well the black dog of depression has really taken a hold of me right now and I am struggling to know where, what, how I am going to come out of it.
Its got a steep hold of me and with the depression comes the anxiety attacks as I think its going to get worse and I will find myself stuck in a dark corner stuck there for ever.0
