I'm glad to hear you are more positive, good for you :T. It does help to get a little support from the good people on here.

Have a good weekend - what's left of it.

Very often it is not so much actively seeking help but reading the comments of others which give me some positive vibes. It is easy to start to slide down into the pit of depression but reading of techniques and experiences others have for dealing with it I know certainly helps me.

Hope you are all dealing with your issues well this evening.

For the first year ever we had no-one at the door.

Quite nice as I tend to agonise over it and start to fret.

Was all geared up for some local little ones to appear but not to be - so now I can relax, and wonder what I am going to do with all these nuts!
  • Hi, how is everyone doing? depression seems to be getting worse but im seeing my Pdoc next week so will talk to her and my GP too :)

Had so much fun last night. Until recently we lived above a shop, where no one knew where we lived, and then I was at university in studenty areas - so this year is the first year I've had trick or treaters!

I loved it - some made a great effort. We had one boy not dressed up with a carrier bag held out though - cheeky b*gger! Still gave him something though, coz I was more excited about it all than the children!

We also put some Halloween candles on the windowsill so they could see we were welcoming people and a mat on the front door that lets out an evil laugh when stepped on it! No pumpkin though :(

Really looking forward to Christmas now!

I am still coping with the minimum dose of "Aunty Dee's":D. I got back down from the maximum dose over the summer and I'm just praying I don't have to put them up again. It is good for me to see how others cope and utilise any tips that might help.

Good luck with the appointments, I will have to see my GP this week following the rheumi appointment last Thursday. I now need to get another referral, this time to a dermatologist to determine what is causing the blisters. Rheumi said it looked like cranial shingles - but I get it every four to six weeks and more in summer :( and I've already tested negative for this. I think my depression is partly triggered by the decline in my physical health and the lack of an explanation for it.

We had about four or five groups of little ones last night - much more than usual for us. They all had older siblings waiting by the gate and all were very well mannered, even the older ones shouting "Thank you" up the drive. The costumes were great - one little vampire had put a lot of effort in .

Do you have a special diet for your IBS? I saw a gastrologist who referred me on to a specialist dietician. I had to follow a low fibre diet with no wheat or dairy, so it was quite strict. I'm gradually reintroducing certain things and finding by trial and error what triggers it. It's always worse with stress of course :o.

Well, the lovely weather of yesterday has disappeared and we've had a severe weather warning this morning. It has been monsoon-like and really dark here :( - so dark that I've put the side-lights on (SAD daylight bulbs) and it's making quite a difference to how I feel ;).

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone .
