Sorry -I'd just gone to bed. Hope you manage to get some sleep tonight. My dog has been barking but I have the opposite trouble, I sleep all the time. Always tired, in fact if I sit on the sofa for too long I fall asleep. I'm real grumpy when I wake up too, in fact a pleasure to be around!
I used to have big trouble getting to sleep but I found the sound of the washing machine really relaxing so we have that on most nights now to chill me out. (odd I know). I hope you can find something to relax your body/mind and help you drift off."I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." A. Whitney Brown0 -

i've just got word that i've been turned down for dla, and i've been struggling with depression among other things for almost 16 years.
you have to be very specific with your forms and also support from your doctor would really help i'd imagine. (mine is useless)
feeling really low just now. had some really insane stuff going on, complicated. bloody mil again! she basically abducted my youngest son, 23mnths. lot more complicated than that but to be honest i cant bring myself to explain it right now.
needless to say it's not exactly an easy quiet life around here at the moment.
i live in hope that it'll get better though. i'm really trying to stay positive, need to move house and so many other things playing on my mind too.
ah well, such is life. (for the moment anyway).
hope everyone's ok and relaxing during the bank holiday. xUnfortunately,

You can definatley try for DLA. I think it depends on how much it affects your day to day life. I was advised to complete the form as if I was having a bad day, i.e couldn't leave the house, rather than taking an average of how feel. Also you'll need to include whether you need support from family etc at home (like helping with shopping, cooking etc). Its worth a try. You may also be able to claim carers allowance for helping your daughter.
I made an appointment with citizens advice and the lovely lady there helped me through all the forms."I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." A. Whitney Brown0 -

Emweaver: I know how bad it feels when the panic sets in. But remember how well you did last week and try to stay positive. you should be so proud of yourself for getting out on your own!:T i know i would be.
i know it's not easy but you're making progress and you have to focus on that. on the positive things.Unfortunately,

Hi everyone.
Been offline for 5 days, so trying to catch up.
Hope you're all doing OK, dogs behaving themselves.
I notice some have mentioned sleep probs - hey, I'm officially nocturnal! Can't sleep at night, can't stay awake during the day. Maybe it's nature's way of compensating for the fact that I can't tolerate sun exposure.
Em I hope you get on ok with the medical thingy. I understand panic attacks - horrid.
Fay welcome. I'm afraid I know nothing about getting allowances re dependent children, as I don't have kids. I'd go along with what Marrowgirl said, and see the CAB for advice.
Sal (((HUG))) for you. I can't imagine what it's been like for you, but I do hope you can get it all resolved soon.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
