Also sad to hear that you feel you have been bullied on the forum. Everyone has the right to post on threads without being made to feel uncomfortable;)

Hubby turned up at midnight looking very sheepish. We talked for hours, he admitted he could probably cope with the depression if it was that on its own. It's the seizures he struggles with, he said he feels helpless as there is nothing he can do until it stops.
We talked about moving back up north as well. I have family and a couple of old friends there so would have a better support network. He could transfer within the company and reduce his commute from 1 1/2 hours.
Thank you all for being there last night and keeping me calm (ish) don't know how I would have coped alone. xx
dmg sorry you haven't been too good, hope things improve soon. I hope you went to the psych and breathed on him a lot. He might cancel your next appointment because he is illSealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -

Love it. Am ROTFLMAO :rotfl:I really am! The dog is getting worried about me.
However on a serious note, not a good result. I sometimes feel that the biggest problem for people with mental illness is the mental health staff.
I've recently become involved with my local mental health NHS trust as a service user providing feedback to management about services. Getting involved in this has done me the world of good. It's the only way I can do something towards improving services.
I recently discovered a mental health website www.elemental.org.uk which is a refreshing change and which focuses far more on wellness than illness. Even with regards to the use of language ie, being classed as a "service user" or "service avoider" - terms thought up by the NHS to describe us, and which are somewhat negative and not conducive to recovery. The website suggests alternatives such as "expert by experience" which is much more positive and empowering but the site makes the point that people who adopt this kind of approach are often seen as "radicals" or "difficult" or "challenging", simply for insisting on our rights under the NHS charter. Funnily enough, I was described as "challenging" by a MH nurse with the Crisis Team in the summer, as I was complaining about the fact that having a stranger come to my house and sit at the table listening to me cry for an hour and then going, without offering any real practical help or support, was not actually doing me any good and was actually doing me more harm than good. I felt like I was a "naughty child" and should have been grateful that someone was at least coming out to see me.
Here's a link to the page giving more info about this, well worth a read

Folks, sorry I've not been posting; been having a rough time physically as wellas mentally and needed to step back for a bit.
CG hang on in there, mate. Have you time for a swift wash and brush up before hubby gets in?If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Glad to see you're still online CG.
It's difficult to know what to say when someone makes a post like yours, other than to please think about what you have to live for.
Could you phone samaritans or is there someone else you can actually talk to?
As much as the internet gives support, it's worrying knowing the place you are in right nowThere is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

I wouldn't want to see an end to the NHS and have a system like America's in it's place.
The system is overstretched but it's better than many have in other countries. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
