Hi Rachel - I'm doing so much better than I thought I would. I'm really positive for 2010. Gonna open a bottle of red in a min. Don't drink much but my script was a bit b******d up today so have no ADs to take and thought a drink was in order.
2010 is going to be whatever we make it and I intend it to be my best year yet.
I have 3 fantastic kids who are reason enough to keep slogging but looking back I can see our lives have improved year on year so I must be doing something right!!
Next year - new home, our home and new challenges. Heck - if I can pay rent I can pay a small mortgage. Forget the noughties - the teenies are going to be my decade!!
I'm gonna do this and anyone who wants to join me - get on the bus now!!!!
    Happy New Year Rach xx

  • Lots of love to all and may 2010 be the best year for us all.

  • Happy New Year to all my lovely supportive friends here and on the DS thread - I've not been posting much over the past couple of months but I'm still here and still thinking of you all. I really hope that the new year and new decade brings you all peace, good health and happiness.

I'm doing ok at the moment, after having had a very difficult summer and autumn, and I'm feeling strangely optimistic about the future, despite having been made redundant in Nov. For the first time in many years, New Year has not been miserable, and instead of feeling sad about wasting my life, I feel like I have achieved a kind of acceptance of my lot, and that I actually have an awful lot to be grateful for.

If anyone is feeling miserable and needs cheering up, you might like to google "Rigg the pig" and read about the adventures of my own black dog, who has got me through the year - without him, I don't think I'd be here now to be honest. I really hope his adventures can make you smile too.

Much love to you all and very best wishes for the future
from WVW and Rigg the pig xx

^ ^ ^ Wot she said with bells, whistles, a tartan ribbon and a glass of champagne!:D
Sandy, if you don't feel like posting anymore, don't forget the PM option. I'm always here, specially now I have my new netbook.

    Busylizzy, welcome, make yourself comfortable.

CG great to "see" you mate; how's young Barky?

WVW likewise - will get on my desktop PC later to read Rigg the Pig's latest exploits (I have him bookmarked there).

LadyM thanks for checking in - I think we all go through a period of not feeling like posting sometimes, but it's good to just pop your head round the door and wave, so's we know you're still hangin' in there.

Jenni, mate, you're an inspiration! I'm trying to get the better of the lupus - Mr LW has threatened to buy a Wii Fit, as we both need to lose some weight, and I need to get my joints back to the idea of co-operating with my requirements.

OK, this post is getting long, so I'll shut up now; Happy New Year everyone.

Oh, and please excuse typos, still getting used to the netbook.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Aw WVW your pictures are so lovely.

Hope you continue to stay positive throughout the year.

I am a little anxious because my temporary work contract ends tomorrow.

It is the only job I have liked in the 3 years of being ill and I have moved from one job to the next.

I am crossing everything and hoping that I am able to stay.

Happy new year everyone x x
