  • hi everyone sorry not even been lurking, just not been on, i knopw i shouldnt let it but ab's comments were really getting to me.

i went to the docs yesterday and he said that he wouldnt send me to the hospital at the moment as he thought id see it as a step back and it would affect me really badly

he asked the million dollar question: how likely i was to kill myself this week, i lied a bit and said i was starting to change my mind

he was a bit shocked i think that id been researching how much of my colipramine id have to take to do it, i didnt have enough in the cupboard but chris told him he caught me sizing it up. he said that its a really painful death but i just reasoned that any way you die will probly hurt.

i cut my arms again, i just felt it in my tummy again, i really needed to do it.

after the docs me and hubby went into town for a couple of hours but that was all i could manage after getting so het up about the doctors. i was so tired ive just slept all day today, only just crawled out of bed for a bath and to order pizza for tea (bad wife!!!!)

i hope everyone is ok and your families too x

    Hello everyone!
I haven't been round much lately. Been really tired and short of breath but at least the chest pain has gone.
Sorry to hear about everyone's trials and tribulations. I'm trying to be positive but am so tired . . . . So grateful to my 3 wonderful children because I'd never manage without their help and support. Next year there will be some changes and I hope our new home (when we find it!!!) is going to be a new start for us.
I just want to wish everyone on here a Happy New Year. I hope 2010 brings good health and good fortune to us all

  • Hi guys, have suffered depression for over 15 years and been recently diagnosed with dysthymia which is a kind of chronic mild depression. I hope everyone has had a lovely festive period and that 2010 offers them more than 2009.

I try to be of support but sometimes can be very selfish. But then again we can all be like that.

If anyone wants to converse with me, feel free.

Hi Steve - its not a bad bunch on here! Lots of support and plenty of room to have a good vent if need be. You can spill your guts here.
I was shocked how badly depression can affect people and how many different treatments there are - with varying degrees of effectiveness.
I was first prescribed ADs when I was 7 - would never happen now thank goodness. I actually had Lupus but I'm back on the ADs now. I lost my mum and my brother very close together last Christmas so its been a bit of a struggle getting through this one but I'm doing it.
If you stick around you'll learn some really personnal stuff about all of us that we wouldn't necessarily share with casual aquaintances.
Look forward to hearing more from you

Dont know what Lupus is but it doesnt sound good.

Im sorry to hear about your mother and brother, I hope you have a good support network that can help you.

Im not sure about sharing really personal stuff with you guys as I am not very good at trusting people but Ill give it a go!
