boots 75% off????

Went to the Metrocentre store at 4pm today and most shelves were empty. I did get a few bits that I bought with my points.

Quite enjoyed picking up a few bargains from Marks and Spencers. The Disney Store had some good bargains, Pens and pencil sharpeners for 50p and some High School Musical gift tags for 10p.

i poped to my local this am, was there quite early and nothing left, just about 5 people in the isle, (and they were the only people in the shop!) all rummaging through trying to find a bargain. not much to be had, i think there was only about 10 different items in total in the sale.

I went into Boots today and got an Elle McPherson goody bag full of smellies down from £40 to £8.50.... the lady on the counter said that next week whatever is left will be marked down by 90%! - if there is anything left......!

I got up at 4 am but all the items in my basket had sold out and i got the famous Generic Error.

Lucky for me i wangled a late start in work. Got to Queen Street cardiff at 8am a few people outside, it was very civilised nobody emptying the shelves into black bags. Got some of what i'd had in my sold out .com basket.

My dad went to a smaller store nearer home and he saw women running to Boots :rotfl:

i got loads of stuff this morning, (well my mum got it) i was at work so she headed down there and bought so much stuff for im sorted for the year for girlie and kids presents, spent about £30 in all and got 7 carrier bags full of stuff but she does work at a boots so got staff discount as well 25%

I must have been one of the lucky ones as was woken this morning early by hubby's snoring, logged on .com and managed to put my order through as I had saved items that I wanted to my favourites. I received my confirmation email so fingers crossed the order will be okay.

Tried .com before the school run this morning - gave up at 8am and tried again at 1230 ish after I had been to the Birmingham Fort store.

Store was relatively empty at 9.15 I got the gardening tote bag and vanity case I went for. Loads of stuff fell into my basket which then changed into a trolley. Spent just under £60.00 and paid with my points. Couldnt fit it all in the boot of the car so had to go home (tried .com again) and then went to Chelmsley Wood to see if they had anything. Virtually no sale stock there but did get a bottle of Dune EDT 50ml reduced to £20.15 for MIL on Mothers Day. Tried .com again before school collection and gave up! FIL will not be getting his Speckled Hen beer and no baby arch for my son.

Perhaps you would not be so happy if you had not got your order through, like many young mums the housebound and others who just could not get out today, but spent hours trying to get the service that they should have got, and were looking forward to their bargains, many have been planning this for weeks.

I wandered into the main Manchester store today unaware the sale was on!

Quite a lot of stuff still left and a few things that tempted me. All I actually got though was some fancy boxes of "Kshocolat" choccies, champagne truffles and kirsch cherries. Would never have paid a tenner for them but happy to pay £2.50.
