Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:
  • I agree, utter garbage! I've had the same problem as everyone else today, having filled my basket several times for it to all go wrong I tried the customer service line - all lines busy - and then after the whole sale disappeared from the site the announcement explaining problems wasn't exactly easy to find. If I'd had even the slightest idea that the website was going to be so diabolical I would have gone to the store instead. Now its unlikely I'll get anything. Big thumbs down to Boots, I'm definately not impressed and by far the worst online sales experience I've had. Rant over

Pants! I am sooooo tired. Stayed up until 1.30am, stupidly thinking the 75% would start 'anytime now'! Up again at 3am- encountered 'generic error'. I'm getting desperate to clear it now. I've tried deleting my browsing history, deleted cookies, temp files etc AND IT'S STILL THERE! Grrrr! There's a code in part of it which, when you type into the Boots search, comes up with the Soap and Glory grab bag I want! Anyone any more ideas how I can clear it, so if/when the time comes I can shop again?

Still, got up at 6.40 as normal, plodded down to the local store for 9am to see stuff disappearing off the shelves before it opened!!!

Spent £30 ish this morning- couple of JF blonde hair kits things, Hackett wallet set, Whack a Mole game, Scents of Occasions set, Red Ruby and Millie set and walked out quite pleased...... and went back in my lunch hour to get a couple JF Brunette kits (for mum), St. Tropez set down to £11.01, a couple more Scents of Occ. sets (for Mum) and little trinket set for a girl I used to teach who is v.v. poorly and undergoing chemo...

Mum on the other hand was in a store for 8.30am, 15 miles away. Kept getting little updates from her- Think she's gone over £120 on stuff.... ex-Boots employee.... loves it! The bit that made me chuckle was 'ooooooooh, don't come round at that time, your Dad will be back..... he'd best not see what I've bought!!!

After all that I only got wrapping paper and a calendar that was originally in my basket!

    Tx
  • Went to Boots about 2.30 today, only to get my prescription, ended up spending £60 and walked out with more filled bags than I could hold.

It was brilliant !!! I didn't even know the 75% sale was today.

There were bits left, so I am going back in the morning.

Think i've been pretty lucky today tbh. Popped into Camberley after dropping the eldest 2 at school. Got quite a few bits and pieces to put away for various presents - spent about £80! Got the No 7 P&P set and a couple of S&G glove sets for myself. Bumped into my mum and sister there - all their months of mocking me and Boots and they'd filled their baskets before i'd even got there lol.

Popped online at lunchtime whilst DD slept to order some nappies and ordered the last few sale bits that i hadn't managed to get in store, looks like i was lucky to even get on the site let alone actually order sale bits!

Good luck to everyone still trying to get bits.

Boots . com is a complete mess, not fit for purpose and in this day and age for a large retailer who wants to consider itself a major player and gain customer loyalty in very difficult times its a waste of space and my time. It implies that Boots is not a 21st century retailer. If we are to judge Boots by their on line shop they should give up now and sell soft fruit. It takes a great deal of lack of planning ,to annoy so many loyal customers in so short a space of time. A Dangerious game to play in these diffiicult times. I have much better things to do with my life than wait for hours for a site to take my money then crash not once but several times. I am sure there are other retailers out there who can do it right, and may like some of my hard earned money.
As you can gather am not impressed even on a good . com day
