Omg the nerve of some people.

I went in the afternoon for a nosey I got a couple of sets for £1.90 each and a lovley butterfly photo album £18 reduced to £4.40.:T

Went into Boots today in Hereford and there was quite a lot of stuff but a bit of a rugby scrum. the assistants were quite frazzled and the guy that served me said he didn't know how anyone had found out as they weren't allowed to tell anyone.
of course, i mentioned i'd seen it on this site and there were quite a few knowing nods from people behind me! there are MSE-ers everywhere!
got some AMAZING bargains though- No7 make-up for £4 from £16, came with £5.50 of advantage points on a leaflet inside and 2 £5 off No7 vouchers too. going back in tomorrow to get more!

Yes, it's annoying when sites go down but it's not as though anyone is ENTITLED to these bargains. It's a bonus when it happens but it's only shopping ateotd.

The same happened to me, sale bargains where upstairs so I went downsatirs to pay and the helpful assistant asked if i wanted it splitting into £5 lots. What a sweety! :T So ended up with 8 X £5 tokens so spent all on No7 sun cream and after sun as reduced to £4.88.

I can understand why people are angry, lots of people got up or stayed up until 3am this morning in the hope of getting a few bargains, I'm sure the majority did manage to get an order through in the end.
But for the ones that didn't it is annoying when you have got up early and are not able to put an order through.
I think it's human nature.
Likewise everyone loves a bargain and at present there are an awful lot of families who will find it a real struggle to pay their bills this year let alone buy gifts, so this may have been a lifeline for them, which makes the disapointment even worse.
I was up at 6.30am so not as early as some and at 8am I was still trying to get things in my basket, in between washing and dressing the children I would add another item, to then checkout and it crash after I enter my card details. I proceeded to do this four times before giving up and going out.
I also rang Boots to be told they couldn't do anything as their end was down too.
I was completely deflated and thought I had wasted all my time that morning, thankfully when I got home one of the orders had gone through and I had a confirmation email (just hoping the other three haven't).
All I wanted was the Diego bike and the Roary racing track (and nappies to get the free delivery), as these were gifts I wanted for my children and would not have been able to get instore, so for all the others that are still feeling angry, disapointed or deflated or all three I can completely understand how you are feeling.

Had a sneaky feeling the P&P set would have something in so performed a careful operation to remove the sticky tape holding the outer card and broke the plastic holdtheziptogethery bit.... good job I did, as the two I've got will be given to Mum and MIL for birthdays after the 31.3.09!

SO..... check your gift packages, use the extra points and don't give the game away as to how much we've saved!
