I went to Boot's in Wood green yesterday and it was mad. I mush have been the only guy there. Will try next week as they might reduce what's left to 90% off.

90% is due to start on 28th.

Well I popped in to the local store but nothing I wanted online was in the sale in the store so I will just have to keep checking the website and see if the sale there comes back online at any point. Fingers crossed as most of what I would like are toys and they had no toys in the sale in my store.

I did manage to get a few bits including Christmas crackers and a St Tropez Gift Set which will be great for my sister for her birthday so wasn't a complete waste of time.

I ordered sale items yesterday and chose next day delivery. Confirmation email about order etc.

I have had NO email telling me my order is on it's way so phoned customer services.

They don't know either as showing as not even being processed.

So those of us luckily enough to have ordered may not even get the order now.

    Great one Boots!!

Just reading the post a few pages back about the woman who wanted things for ebay! what a cheek! I went to our local store yesterday (Cambridge) to get a few bits to put away for birthdays etc and it was like a rugby scrum, people had baskets and baskets of things and as soon as the assistants were putting new things out they were grabbing and snatching at least three or four things so think they were also ebayers! Boots sale not as good as last year but I got a few bits for inlaws, brothers etc.

    :money:

l went into cambridge yesterday morning and thought it was a load of crap!!! nothing really decent to get apart from loads of st tropaz, baileys sets and those gillette sets with the watch in. No sign of No 7 or R&M sets which is what l was after. Last year the sale was alot better!!!!
    :T LLB HONS :T
    im well chuffed...........

The stuff I was looking at yesterday isn't 75% off any more - now still 1/2 price at best. One item's now not even in the sale.

Everything is full price for me, not even 50%. I actually wish now I had bought a couple of things at 50% rather than wait for 75% because I didn't get an order through at all.

  • Boots in Meadowhall looked as though locusts had been through the store, there was only one short aisle that had anything left on it and most was a bit rubbish, lots of royal jelly mini-sets though :)
Managed a fondue set, sundae set and some other bath sets but nothing I really wanted, glad I got some R+M stuff at half price as the bits in my basket online obviously won't get to me :)

Went to enfield town yesterday, I think the sttropez sets are a good deal but so much of the boots branded stuff is so over priced in the first place its a joke£20 for a couple of shower gells and a make up bag .... I bought lots last year thinking I was getting a real bargin but to be honest most of it got flung to the back of the cubord or given as gifts to people I prob wouldnt of got anything for anyway but as i had them lying around handed them out. If you needed it anyway yes its a deal and for pressies for next year but I saw some people going crazy buying so much crap it seems easy to just buy it because its cheap.

  • I thought the sale instore was pretty rubbish compared to last year esp with the toys.
Last year in the first store we went to the staff told us that any toys with the 'green present sticker' on them were in the 75% off sale. There was a lot of toys.

This year saw quite a few toys with the same sticker so assumed they'd be in the 75% off sale too but they weren't.
In one boots yesterday they had toys on the shelf that were normal price, mixed with toys that were in the 75% off sale (not a lot on sale) . There was nothing on shelf to say which were & which weren't on sale. The lady on the till wasn't impressed with my husband when she scanned some items & they came up full price & he said he didn't want them.
At least seperate the sale toys from the non sale toys.

There were women with with trollies & big bags full of stuff, would just stand in the aisle & not move..... ok the sale is great but please remember your manners

I telephoned this morning the sale has been removed from the web site due to technical problems and stock issues, any items that were half price will remain so....my basket had 75 items and willl not display due to a generic error, the customer services are unable to view so my only option was to clear the basket...after 4 hours hard work lol!!! HOWEVER they are unable to clear it so I have no basket and can do no shopping!!! So have thrown in the towel and wish you all good luck hope you get some bargains!!!!!!

If anyone has had the dreaded "generic error" whilst trying to access their basket, it is possible to get into your basket again, in order to remove the "Out of Stock" item(s) causing the problem:

    1) Log out of your account
    2) Add an item that is definitely in stock to the basket
    3) View the basket
    4) Using the "log in" button on the top right hand side of the screen, log back into your account

Doing this will bring your entire basket up & it will show you what is not in stock, so you can delete anything that needs to be deleted & still keep the rest in your basket.

This was used by lots of us yesterday (see the topic at the top of page 1 of the Grabbit Now page) & it worked a treat!
