Is the 20% discount applicable to one customer per household? As in, if my mother is already a customer, can I use the discount voucher?

I've just placed an order, did so over the phone.

Gave the discount code and they said that it was 25% off.

Hi, what number did you ring and what code did you quote, i tried online last week and got told i could only have the 20%. Still a great deal but every little extra helps
    Thanks

Received an envelope from them today containing
    1) A letter indicating another 7 day delay with the stock of 26" models
    2) A letter saying the funds provided were insufficient, which is amazing considering they have charged me already (I have already returned the incorrect model they sent me)

Rang them up and they said ignore the second letter. They also reckon the new stock will be in on 11th April(!)

Order online through Quidco - 20% plus 5% cashback. Believe me after enduring Freemans since late January, it is the simplest way to get 25% off. Using the 25% code usually leads to grief (read the entire thread if you doubt me!)

Ignore the estimated stock delivery dates. The Customer Service Reps only have access to the same info as you do on the website - ie the estaimated delivery date if you ordered today. Once you have ordered they really don't have a clue when stock will come in - it will only change when your order starts to be processed, then you will be told 7-10 days, but it will usually come in 3. for example, my order changed to 'being processed' the day after I was quoted a further 21 day delay on stock coming in.

Keep your eye on your order. If you used the 25% code which was for fashion only don't place mush faith in the fact that it was accepted over the phone. I did the same in January with the old 25% code and called the order in so I could check specifically with CS that i could use the code. They said yes, its gone through fine. Two weeks later my order was cancelled due to an invalid code, and I had to reorder and go to the back of the queue. Very few people have had successful orders with 25% off, and the vast majority of these ordered in early January before Freemans cottoned on to it. Safest way is 20% code ordered via Quidco for an extra 5%.

    Hi all,
My first posting...and it holds sad news. :(
I ordered this 32" LCD last week for my new (first) home, only to find today I have been charged the full £899.99.

I called Freemans customer services, and was just fobbed off with a load of rubbish!
Including; The code I used was for 25% off summer clothes only, I couldn't have an account where an agent already resides (my mother) even though I'd paid in full with the 'pay-and-go' option.
And then I got, the discounts were only for 'new credit checked' customers, meaning as I'd paid by credit card it didn't apply - and a host of others.
I asked about the 20% discount, and again I wasn't applicable!

I'd of much prefered an honest 'Your too late mate, the rides over...' ;)

The customer services person I spoke to wasn't too please when I said I'd have to return it, after I'd got it home, tested it and ensured it was the model I was heading to Currys to buy! Oh well, never mind - I'll contine to look elsewhere.

Anyone else had luck buying it lately, or know of another (working) code?

    Thanks!!

Their Terms and Conditions are pretty non-specific and the new customer code has nothing about 'one customer per house' on it. Nor does it say that you have to open an account. If you still have the TV I would go through the HQ in Bradford (its listed under Grattan HQ) and demand to speak to a customer services manager. If they have sent you the TV after you inputted a code then I would imagine the contract has been formed. If they still won't budge then I would try something like "and to make matters worse, you won't even apply the 20% discount that I am entitled to!"

Stick at it - most people had problems when their orders were cancelled before delivery and there is not a lot you could do about it. If you have received the goods then you are in much better position legally.

    hi all,

just ordered a 32" version this morning. ordered it through quidco, first time ive used it, i just clicked on the freemans link on quidco (is that right?) item was showing 'in stock' at a price of £899, with offer code DREP. i choose to open an account rather than pay and go, hoping that doesnt make any odds. so am i right in thinking i should(!) get it for £720 from freemans, and then get a further £45 back from quidco?

fingers crossed,i'll believe it when i see it....
