Samsung 32" HD Ready LCD TV (HD Ready) for £675 delivered?!!!

You may well have a problem with the account - from reading this and other forums I am not aware of anyone getting more than £500 credit upon opening an account. When the Tv is in stock and ready to go you should receive a phone call from Freemans telling you you do not have enough credit and asking if you wish to pay the remainder by card. However some people have found their order has just been cancelled. If you decide to chase it up, don't bother for three or four days as it will take that long for your application to get through and register on the system. If you call them now they won't have any record of your account0

Thanks Hurdy... in fact it was waiting for me at home last night!! (cant fault delivery)
Set it up and had a quick going over. Overall the TV is pretty nice, however the picture wasn't 'perfect'.
This might be down to my aerial, but even a DVD (wasn't using the ultra high quality cables) wasn't 100% perfect.
I emailed customer services, but got a reply saying as I'd called them, the matter was closed. (However they didn't tell me how to return it!)
If I don't get a discount I'll return it- no bother, I can look around.
Good luck!0 -
I got mine 2 weeks ago, after a lot off messing ( been off line for a while ) Apparently my first one was lost in transit, but a replacement was sent within a few days.
I think its a great TV, checked my quidco account and the money has been payed in. So it cost me about £680 Bargain...Thanks so much to the OP0 -

So guys, how long do you think this 20% discount will go on for? Has everyone received their TVs at this price? I'm thinking of going for the 26" - has anyone ordered through Quidco and got their 5% as well?0

A quick update...
Called customer services to arrange the return of the TV. I was told (yet again) I was not applicable for discount and had to pay the £899.99.
After a 'debate'with the advisor, I told her that I was on the Freemans website while on the phone to her, and the 20% offer doesn't once state you need to open a credit account, or that its valid only on clothes etc etc...
At this point she told me the website offers were handled by the 'Internet Department' so I requested she transferred me to them...
After a brief wait she came back and said the 20% is valid for all items, so would credit me back £178. (£899.99 - 20% is actually a refund of 179.98 by my maths - but by this point I was tired of the argument and not too bothered by the extra £2.)
So, long story short - I got the TV for £722 after a struggle and a few calls.
If you want one, go for it now before they change the 20% offer or re-word it so it excludes electrical!

Thanks for the tip on this. I ordered one yesterday from Freemans and got it for the price of £720, with the explanation that the 25% discount wasn't available. Still, it's a great buy given that the technical magazines were raving about it based on a price of £1200.0
