Samsung 32" HD Ready LCD TV (HD Ready) for £675 delivered?!!!

The Evesham TV is nowhere near as good as the Samsung unless you plan to use it as a PC monitor.
It will work with an Xbox 360 via the VGA cable - and thats it! No more HDTV possible.
Sky won't be using HDCP (yet) so you could hook it up by component and hook up a blu-ray (ps3)/hd-dvd player using HDMI on the Samsung.
With the evesham you will only end up having to buy a new HDTV at a later stage to watch SkyHD or play any of the new HD video formats.0 -
Hi,
Might not be relevant, but I wondered whether a quick poll of when people order and then recieved the TV's might show a predictive time for delivery ?
For example, I ordered my 32" Samsung on Saturday 5th Feb and used the 20% code, the order was accepted straight away over the phone as I paid them £520 on credit card and £200 left on "credit". I was advised this was the best way by the lass on the phone.
Has anyone received the 32" yet BTW ?0 -

Ordered 32" on Feb 1st.
Letter to confirm order and notify of delivery delay to 16th Feb arrived a week later.
Emailed Sarah Gibbs today to ask when it would arrive. Immediate response - next date they're hoping to get stock in is 13/03. But one is reserved for me!!!! Lucky old meI think it's a ploy to get me to cancel the order!

Just wondering - after reviewing the prices and wondering if i'm ever going to get this tv...does anyone know if there is any difference between 32" the 41BD model and the 41B apart from the freeview box? If not i might consider cancelling my order just because i'm spending an unhealthy amount of time looking at this forum everyday.
The non freeview model is £777 from many web outlets.

OK, so I might be missing something by not contacting them. What's Sarah Gibbs email address, could you let me have it please. I want to know if they have a date they may wish to give me.
Thanks.0 -

Freeman’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Having just received a letter from Freeman’s stating that my credit references has been refused I realise its complete rubbish!
I’ve checked it out by other means and my credit rating is 100% so all this is a cunning way of cancelling my order!!
Let’s see if my direct cash order goes through which I doubt very much!COMPERKING

I ordered my 32" tv on the 27 Jan (see previous post) and was told it would all go thorugh OK. I was given a date of delivery of 7 Feb which came and went I contacted Freemans on the 9 Feb to be told there would be a delay and the new delivery would be 16 Feb which again came and went I again contacted them on the 17 Feb to be told that the order was still being processed but there would be a delay, However when I said other people had ordered after me (28th) but had received their 32" tv I was told that could not be the case ! I quoted from this forum and confimred that it was. Then I was told that even when my order got to the top of the list it MAY ! (yes thats right May, they couldnt even confirm tht it would) get cancelled as I had applied for the TV on credit and as a new customer I was only allowed £200 credit. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after a little discussion the sales lady said she would ask if the boss would speak to me, I was kept waiting for a while and then yes you guessed it the phone went dead ! I immeadiately rang back and spoke to another sales rep and after much discussion I offered to pay the £520 by switch to make sure they did not cancel my order. THis I did and my bank statement confirms that the money was taken on Mon the 20th.
Anyway I believe I am now in a much better position as Freemans have actually taken my money. As such they have now entered into a legaly binding contract to supply me a 32" tv at £719, If they breach this contract I will take them to the small claims court and sue them for the difference to enable me to buy the same TV elsewhere. !
If anybody else is still in the same position in a months time perhaps we could get together and look at going through the small claims court procedure together.
Hopefully they will deliver the TV as promised and it will all be over very soon !0
