I'm a first customer too and I got substantially more than £200 for my credit limit0

I was given a date of delivery of 7 Feb which came and went I contacted Freemans on the 9 Feb to be told there would be a delay and the new delivery would be 16 Feb which again came and went I again contacted them on the 17 Feb to be told that the order was still being processed but there would be a delay, However when I said other people had ordered after me (28th) but had received their 32" tv I was told that could not be the case ! I quoted from this forum and confimred that it was. Then I was told that even when my order got to the top of the list it MAY ! (yes thats right May, they couldnt even confirm tht it would) get cancelled as I had applied for the TV on credit and as a new customer I was only allowed £200 credit. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after a little discussion the sales lady said she would ask if the boss would speak to me, I was kept waiting for a while and then yes you guessed it the phone went dead ! I immeadiately rang back and spoke to another sales rep and after much discussion I offered to pay the £520 by switch to make sure they did not cancel my order. THis I did and my bank statement confirms that the money was taken on Mon the 20th.
Anyway I believe I am now in a much better position as Freemans have actually taken my money. As such they have now entered into a legaly binding contract to supply me a 32" tv at £719, If they breach this contract I will take them to the small claims court and sue them for the difference to enable me to buy the same TV elsewhere. !
If anybody else is still in the same position in a months time perhaps we could get together and look at going through the small claims court procedure together.
Hopefully they will deliver the TV as promised and it will all be over very soon !
If the moneys been taken it's on its way...0 -
Lucky you! Hopefully mine will come!0

I've been following this thread with interest as I placed an order for the 26" on 27/01 and up until today it's said 'awaiting stock' on my Order Info , but have just checked now and it's saying being processed :j
From your experience jfman it looks like I could get it in the next couple of days.
Oh pants! just looked back through the thread to see who the delivery would be made by and see it's Amtrak. I've had a missed delivery from Amtrak this morning:rolleyes:
Same old same old since 20080 -
when do you know if it will be delivered? do you get a letter through the post or do amtrak just turn up? i ordered earlier feb.0

Guess what turned up today with no word of warning
A 32" LCD which I cancelled. - Money taken from my Credit Card, the same card they lost all record of a couple of weeks ago.
Let's see how long a refund takes, as I went elsewhere in the end.0 -

As i say above , my Order Info changed from 'awaiting stock' to 'being processed' today and it looks like an attempted delivery was made this morning by Amtrak , but I hadn't had a letter or e mail advising me it had been despatchedSame old same old since 20080
