Never let t be said that people who post to this board like to blow things out of all proportion....
lesser things than a poorly designed swing have killed babies;)
though your description made me smile - if a little wryly:D0 -

Newborns aren't the only ones with soft heads..
Perhaps you would like to start the "let's abolish crash helmets " campaign too..0 -
I'm shocked to read your post - that certainly should not have happened and to be frank, you should be able to take your eyes off your little one for a few moments and expect him to be safe!
I'd be inclined to say trading standards and get intouch with the media - local news/newspaper
Also, be clear to mothercare what you want to happen. Tell them you want a refund and that you want the product withdrawn (not going to say compensation because that's your business, not ours).
Good luck - I hope that it gets sorted.
On a seperate note, how is your little one now?If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!0 -

Im shocked @ the the blame being shifted from mothercare to OP.
there is no parent on earth that can say their eyes are on their newborn every second of the day 24/7. in the real world that is far from true.
no1 has ever left a baby in their toy/buggy/whatever while they've made a cup of tea?!
get real... the product caused damage. why would the side be made so close to where the baby's head could lean over anyway?! not a careful tested product. OP is not at fault here, the manufacturers are.0 -
 Ok now that is dangerous and i wouldn't wait even 1 day for a outcome, i would make a scene in my local store.
But you must give mothercare time, it will cost them thousands even millions to recall products, and even then not many people see the notices.
While mothercare will take this seriously as they are quite good with recalls, i would say get in touch with trading standards (like everyone else is saying!)
And everyone that is blaming Kaza should just leave there comments to them selves, dont type them here we dont want to know, Kaza just needs ADVICE and thats the concept of this forum, not to blame people.
chuckley is right, you cant look after them every second, and these products are made for the BABY to sleep in, even if she was with the baby would she of noticed before it happened?
I hope it doesn't happen to any other child.
Kaza please keep us updated.0
