The online details only show the original amount invested, not any interest,,,,so not much use really!

I was able to transfer into my online FRISA last year. Can't understand why they don't show interest. Did you get any explanantion?

When I go online and look at the statement for my FRISA I can see the original amount transfered, the further amount I paid-in earlier this year and two lots of interest that have been added to the account. One lot on 6th Februray and a further small amount on 9th February.

My wife can see the same on her account.

When I log on to my Lloyds I can see my FRISA and I can get a Statement, Transfer Existing ISA and make a Transfer of monies to other Lloyds accounts.

This is amazing:rotfl:When I enquired last year if the FRISA could be run online, I was told that it couldn't. Yet another Lloyds mistake. I have just tried to log on using old information and can see my FRISA with the balance:j. Obviousy I will be able to see any interest when it is added and hopefully make a deposit at the beginning of the next Tax Year:j

Both my wife and i have received our confirmation letters today for the new FRISA. The letter states:

Thank you for applying for the new Lloyds Fixed Rate Cash ISA.

We've processed your application and will transfer your total balance from your existing Cash ISA to your new Fixed Rate Cash ISA on your maturity date. Please see the original letter we sent you for your account maturity date.

If your old Fixed Rate Cash ISA matures in February 2009, or you originally had a variable rate Cash ISA, we'll transfer your balance on 1 March 2009.

    Thanks for saving with us.

This is obviously good news as we are now locked in to a decent rate of interest for the next year. However, the letter throws up a question! It states please see the original letter we sent you for your account maturity date.

The original letter dated January 2009 stated your FRISA matured on 3 March 2009. A second letter dated February 2009 stated your FRISA matures on 7 April 2009, which is the first anniversary of the date that your first deposit was made into your account.

I cannot understand why Lloyds cannot get their act together and actually produce a letter that gives the correct information in a clear and concise manner. I will now have to contact Lloyds to see which letter they are talking about.

I popped in to Lloyds whilst in town this morning. I was told, and I saw it for myself in Black and White, that the Maturity Date for the 2008 FRISA is the date that the first deposit was made into the account:j. With regards to the various letters, the staff member agreed that it was confusing:confused: and the letter advising that my 2009 ISA was set up should really have not mentioned the original letter when advising of the Maturity Date. He copied all the letters and highlighted all of my points and said that he would pass my comments up the line.

I told him that I would be passing this information to MSE members on a site run by Martin Lewis. He replied "Oh Him" in a voice that suggested that he was not impressed:rotfl:

The FRISA account cannot be run online. Last year my wife and I went in with a cheque and completed a normal paying in slip :j

Now its agreed that it can be managed online. Can the existing FRISA be transferred over to the new FRISA online, or is this a branch matter.

Mine and my wife's FRISA accounts also show online as having two lots of interest having been credited - interestingly on the same dates as yours h5djr.

Having had all of the same uncertainty as described earlier in this thread - maturity dates? single 'early bird offer'....extended! - I had thought all had been finally resolved.:rotfl:

Now not so sure - having had interest credited (not sure why this happened on 6th and 9th?) seems like a sign that the FRISAs have matured!! In spite of having the maturity on first deposit* 'correction' letter - (though all along in the t/c), - the 6th Feb is actually the anniversary of the FRISAs opening.

I have been assured (what ever that means) that the full 6.5% will be paid to the anniversary date of the first deposit - *14th March (transfer delay!). So does this mean they will be paying interest on the interest now credited? OR does this really mean that that our FRISAs are now at variable rate after all! -Anyone else had interest paid EARLY?

My account was opened on 2 March, so I will have to wait until then to see if any interest is paid. I wonder why Lloyds say one thing then do another:confused: Having a Cash ISA should be so simple. It used to be until Lloyds introduced their FRISA:eek:

I sent our applications off a couple of weeks ago, but have nothing back from them. Has anyone got confirmation letters to say they have been accepted for the new offer?
I sent my application form for the early bird offer last wednesday (I requested the form as I did not receive the original offer when it was sent out in January) and received my confirmation letter today that it will be processed - quite pleasantly surprised that it has happened so quickly- hope you have got yours now
    Keep the Faith:cool:
  • Well a second letter arrived from Lloyds, identical to my earlier letter thanking me for applying for a FRISA etc etc......

Does make you wonder how they get in such a mess, still reassuring that they are processing my application even if they tell me twice, be nice if they duplicate the amounts as well...:D
