I've just discovered a lovely Chinese soup called 'Egg Drop soup'
Only takes about a minute to make, and is very simple - here is a basic recipe http://jenyu.net/fd/recipes/eggdrop.html
But you can just add anything you like really, I put a lot of spinach in instead of the mushrooms..
There is also an Israeli dish called Shakshouka that I make atleast once a week
http://kosherfood.about.com/od/kosherisraelifood/r/shakshouka.htm - again really simple, and just change the recipe around to include the veg/spices that you like (its best with a spice called zatar - but its not easy to come buy in the Uk as far as I'm aware)0 -
if you find it hard to get an ommelette out of the frying pan
try making a baked one in a greased baking dish / tray instead0 -
Thank you - my hubby likes the sound of them!New year, no debt! Debt free date - 02/01/07 :j :j :j0

I've just been given a dozen eggs and add that to what I already have I now have 15 eggs. I'm moving on Friday so really need to use them up asap. I know you can freeze raw egg whites but does anyone have any idea what I can do with them please? I really don't know!!1 John 4: 7 & 80

omlettes- make some cakes for day you move- have eggs/chips- have egg sandwiches for packed lunch every day- use them all by Friday and buy yourself something nice with money you save by doing so (or preferably save money).0

You could make scrammbled eggs for breakfast.........Boiled eggs for dinner time/snack........... a nice omelette for tea. or make a egg custard using some up.I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.0

Hi C'n'C! How about some baking so that you and your moving buddies don't need to cook during the move. I remember what it was like!
Quiche, cakes and buns, even ice cream, if you're feeling adventurous. Boil them to eat whole in a picnic on Friday, or make egg sarnies (my favourite kind!). If you whisk the eggs, you can freeze them, and then use for omelettes.
Best wishes with the move.

Quiche and meringues. Meringues keep well in an air tight container."A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." Mark Twain0

Thanks for all the suggestions, they sound so scrummy!!
PP, do I just whisk to combine so it'd be like the liquid egg you get in cartons or does it need to be a bit frothy?
Thanks to everyone, I am now confident that I can get a whole weeks worth of meals with these, there's only two of us so it should be a breeze!! Thanks again xx1 John 4: 7 & 80
