We have lots of eggs, too, courtesy of our garden hens :j I'll add this to the exisiting thread on what to do with lots of eggs, to give you ideas.

To be fair my box of 6 now looks out of place here since the moderator moved Mrs Weasley's original post into a "HEEEEEELLLLLLPPP!!!!!!!!!" thread. Sort of changes the whole feeling..... :-)

Quite right. How ridiculous to move a thread on eggs into an egg thread. :rolleyes:


I wonder what the board would look like if everyone started a thread on the individual contents of the fridge and cupboards?

How many sausages have you got?
How many tins of beans have you got?
How many rashers of bacon have you got?

Add these to the other threads that people get annoyed about being merged....

What can I make for tea?
Here is a list of what's in my cupboards....

The whole front page could be filled with it. What fun. And who needs to be able to find useful threads anyway? I'd much rather see a few pages of threads which aren't really helpful.

Sorry, but I just don't understand why the BG's get such flack for doing their job and making the board an easier place to find the useful stuff we need.

i never keep them in fridge. but i've got prob around 36 ish at the mo. i buy a tray of 30 from farm shop either weekly or every other dependiing on how many i have used the week before. i use lots of egg's.

Oh come now, dear. There was a cute little smilie at the end of my post to indicate my sentiment. Just posted to explain why I was talking about what I used 4 of my meagre portion of 6 eggs for (in a topical recession style birthday present so not out of place) as the thread had been merged into a "Help I have 9 million eggs because my hens are on steroids what am I going to do" sort of panic stricken thread. No flack thrown round here. Cut down on the Haribos? :rolleyes: :rotfl: :T :cool:

Indeed I shall dear. But not before I've started a thread on whether of not to opt for the gummy bears or the cola bottles. (note the use of cute smilie to indicate my sentiment) (oh, there's another one)

You could always edit or delete your post, if you're unhappy with its current place :cool: And we're Board Guides, not moderators :cool:

I'm not unhappy, my loves. Really don't have that much invested in it emotionally. I was having a joke and a laugh as someone had compared their countless eggs to my 6, but never mind. Over it. Clearly one cannot crack a joke, let alone an egg, without overuse of emoticons. On that note, enjoy your sweets and may your hockey sticks always be jolly ones. I'm off to work.

I think I may be beating everyone else in the egg department I have 18...A DAY!!

The hens are laying like there's no tomorrow and it appears people don't eat many eggs nowdays. When we first had the hens we got 13 in 10 days and MIL said 'What on earth are you going to do with 13 eggs??!!'

Yes, npsmama, i think you've beaten everyone! LOL

We've currently got 17 eggs on the side, and we're getting about 7 a day from our girls... so almost 50 per week. Don't think i could ope with many more!
