First, I thought about yesterday and realised that there is nothing wrong in feeling despondent and frightened about the prospect of all these people invading my home yet again. After all the tribulations and problems last time, it's perfectly understandable and I shouldn't be so hard on myself. I need to feed them in gradually into the scheme of things so I am not overloaded as i have been over the last 18 months.

Yes, it's natural to be cautious the second time around - after all - "one bitten, twice shy" was coined for a reason.

Rant away Wol re your parish council. You could live where my mum lives - some incomers to the village decided that they wanted a parish council so the local residents who have lived there for years (now you need to have lived there for 40 years at least before you are no longer an incomer:rolleyes:) decided to put themselves forward for the elections to the parish council now all the villagers (not the incomers) don't want a parish council so for the last two years my mum and others have been elected onto the anti-parish council which is highly amusing:rotfl: Now they only make sure they spend the money given to them by the local council - to hold meetings to say that they don't want a parish council:rotfl: Fingers crossed it will be dissolved once and for all later this year.

Are you hiring Numpty out? He can come and stay at mine - he can have my bed and I will sleep on the sofa (no spare bed you see) as I have a few jobs that need doing e.g. drilling holes in walls so that I can hang my pictures:D

Chin up misses - you are doing ok.:j
