    Hi All

Well the garden (despite all the weeds and general neglect) is still doing it's "spring thing" it does every year and now looking really lovely......

I'll get the Estate agents in to do a valuation and give me a realistic selling price after the bank holiday, but.........

    .........I DON'T WANT TO SELL......

I love my garden, (Will take piccies and post when the sun is out...)....I love my house....both of them work for me.....space and functionality-wise..and all the property I;ve looked at over the past week is pants in comparison.......

(now watch, the stream will think it's just been given permission to flood again ;):rotfl:)

So now the work stuff is sorted out for the next year,, I think I'll DFW like mad to save for a bridge fund....remembering that all the work I'd planned to do before the flood to improve the property this year but now can;t afford to do, will have to wait for another year (or until i win the lottery this weekend ;))

Guess it'll be at least another year then of guinea pigs taking over the dining room between October and May....hay and wood shavings all over the house...plus a very cramped lounge full of piano/dining room table/gym equipment/TV and sofa :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And another year of :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:....with insurance/councils/Environment Agency/Water companies etc

And a year of "Upping my Income" DFW style..see next post....

The bridge needs to be done now...but I think I'll pay on credit card(s) (ones with cash back obviously )....because that way if the builders bodge it I will have some comeback this time .;)...and then BT at 0% while I save up....(I did this over the last 3 years with my car...what a tart ...... and it worked well. Finally paid it off in March this year..... so I guess........here we go again...:D)

There's some building work that HAS to be done (the leak into the lounge...) but the rest will have to wait.......

So ..I will teach myself to be more patient....and less "scourging" about what I haven't achieved each day (with thanx to ZTD and my counsellor for their resepctive inputs on that :D;))....and spend some "me" time just relaxing and enjoying my garden and my life....(Hopefully :o)

Have a great bank holiday everyone :beer:...and thank you al for your continued input and support....:T:A

    Yooooo....Sammy Hun

    :hello::wave::grouphug::kisses3::dance:

    How's you???

Sorry...didn't go in the end (so no piccies) but glad I didn;t as about an hour after I was scheduled to leave, it went cloudy and chilly for most of the afternoon...so think it was a good call as monday/tuesday looks like much better weather.

Instead I was a very good girl and spent time wedding the garden (Horace, Lula and Numpty please note spelling ;))....

Obviously because of the flood in July 07, my garden has had no attention for the last two years...the perennials have completely gone out of control and are now "weeds" covering the gaden and smothering the shrubs. Rather than do what was originally intended ...i.e. digs them up and skips them (well actually, Numpty does when he comes down next week :whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle: :rotfl:).....I have potted up loads and loads of them to sell at car boot sale (hopefully when Numpty is down)..with pots and compost I have recycled..:j:j

.. Wow...I am so chuffed with myself...I already have over 50 pots........red-leaved lysimachia, alchemilla mollis, ferns, sedum spectabile..and if I can pot up another 50 plants (there's more than that remaining and I haven't even started on the monbretia, periwinkles, euphorbia and foxgloves )...and sell them for £1 each I will have at least £100 towards the new "Bridge Fund" :j

Oh and if anyone wants some...please let me know...free to DFW's...just got to work out how to get them to you adn when :D (don;t forget they are already safely ensconced in at least three other DFW gardens to date ...and can keep in the pots until Autumn....)

Thought about starting a new thread...but think will keep the old one. But it's now "Wol's Bridge Fund" methinks ;)

Anyway.....piccies of the garden by end of bank holiday.(sun permitting).....and piccies of Leonardslee dependent upon when I go.(Might wait a week until Numpty is here...)...but I can assure you peeps, they will be worth waiting for.

Hope to see you soon Sammy Hun....and glad to see you enjoying the self-employed stuff...it's great innit!
