    Evening everyone

Thankx for all the posts yesterday...and thanx Z for the chat off-line. :kisses3:

Well I had my first night's good sleep in over a week and woke up to a glorious day with no clouds in the sky......

First, I thought about yesterday and realised that there is nothing wrong in feeling despondent and frightened about the prospect of all these people invading my home yet again. After all the tribulations and problems last time, it's perfectly understandable and I shouldn't be so hard on myself. I need to feed them in gradually into the scheme of things so I am not overloaded as i have been over the last 18 months.

....and then the day beckoned....and while I was desperate to get out into the garden and enjoy the sunshine, I spent the whole day reclaiming the house :T:T. (the prospect of the gas man visiting tomorrow might have had something to do with it :o)

Wow......I can now see all the work surfaces in the kitchen , the dining table is clear :eek:, and can see all the carpets in the lounge and upstairs bedrooms :eek::eek: ..(they have been used as dumping ground over the last few weeks until I can put stuff into the loft). All traces of guinea pig hay/wood shavings that have been spread through the house have been consigned to the vacuum cleaner (although it won;t take long tonight for them to kick more out of their cages ..and thus the cycle starts again.....:o)

I even got to [STRIKE]mow[/STRIKE] rough cut the "top lawn"...(i.e. outside my property and meant to be the responsibility of the council but never done....long story, hidden agenda......there is method in my madness ;).)

Tonight I have five baskets of ironing to do (I haven't done any for weeks :o)...but as long as the Sky box works (It's a bit dodgy - I need to ring Sky again for yet another replacement) or I put on Harry Potter (again)..I should get quite a bit done.
But FIRST...I'm going to cook a proper meal for the first time since thursday (been living off bananas, pate and spelt bread.:o..not all together I hasten to add :rotfl:)

Tomorrow I have the bridge engineer and gas man coming to visit....and am seeing my old boss in the evening for a drink and catch up/possible bizniss stuff. Rest of the day is work stuff tying up loose ends so I have clear free time for the rest of the month....and will also attempt the following jobs:
    a) Ring and arrange dates for tree surgeon, fencing people and builders to come in for final quotes
    b) Ring insurance company for final response.....then download form from Ombudsman
    c) Order skip...for garden clearance efforts when Numpty's here...:D:D
    d) Sort out jewellry to take to auctioneers free valuation day next friday
e)Take pictures and send email to auctioneers for valuation of signed Bath rugby shirt (took me 2 hours on the internet yesterday to identify the year for the team signatures.......finally decided it was 1999/2000 - has some good siggies on it including Guscott, Catt and Tindall....:D)

I'm going to stop now....as Beanie said....baby steps is still appropriate even if frustrating.....and as Z said....I must be more patient.......so I will not set myself too much to do each day.....in case the duvet beckons...:o

Will probably lurk tonight...in between baskets of ironing......but back on tomorrow. Hope you all had lovely day today and thanx once again for your support :beer:
    Hugs everyone

Hush!!!........Don't worry my little monkey friend..:kisses3:........it WILL be a small skip....and you'll be amazed at how little time it takes to fill it ;):D

.....especially if I borrow/wield the exOH's chain saw..:eek:....ooops...now you CAN start to get worried:rotfl::rotfl:

Think of all those branches we pulled out of the stream last time...they still need to be disposed of......then there's stream dredging, grass cuttings, guinea pig bedding, perennial weeds (which you can;t compost)....plus all the junk in the shed/garden etc.......

Ooooh and don;t worry.... I'll make sure you're properly fed and watered....and hopefully you'll also be so knackered you won;t wake up at silly o'clock :rotfl:

BTW....Smashed is over the moon with your fence building efforts..:T... you are such an :A......I agree you should hire yourself out to all the DFW ladies ;);)

    Hugs Hun
