Glad to have cheared you up on an otherwise downward day. When I am a millionaire, you can stay on my yacht that I shall keep moored in Sydney Harbour and the guineas will be fed on a daily diet of the guinea pig equivalent of caviar - hand picked bundles of yorkshire dandelions:D

Hope you've had a good day today?

I had to laugh this afternoon, I received a call from a media company offering me a new website for £1500 plus VAT (their cheapest) and then they started saying that my website was basic, it probably is but I said that if they expected me to pay £1950 for a website I would expect it to be able to make the coffee as well. The woman waffled on about google clicks and how people pay per clicks...so I said, why should I pay you when I can pay google directly for google ads and pay per click, needless to say she shut up then. I explained that I was a start up business and didnt have a huge pot of money for a website so she invited me to their swanky offices in Digbeth (now I didnt know that there was anything swanky in Digbeth it a pighole of a place:eek:) and said that her boss had a soft heart and would do my website for what I paid for it, I calmly refused the offer of the visit and said that when I come to changing my website I am going somewhere even cheaper and where I can get software to update the site myself. The company is a chamber member and were surprised when I said that I too was a chamber member...people must think I am thick:rolleyes:

Anyway I had fun with the Apprentice tonight - if I were Alan Sugar I'd fire the lot of them.:rotfl: Talking about firing - did you know that the term "you're fired" comes from Medieval times when if there was an odd wierdo person living in the village that the other villagers took a dislike to, to make them move the villagers would set fire to their house - hence the term you're fired.

Oh and if you happen to have a glass of champagne put a raisin in it and watch it rise and fall in the bubbles:D

Oh what fun, I have had today:D

Love it Horace...and thank you so much for your concern. Yep..you've got it....thyroid is defunct...(but not a walnut ..:eek:)....but doesn;t show up on normal tests (hence why took so long to sort out). Got diagnosis last year...but not serious in itself. Problem is I haven;t been taking my medication for the last year.....naughty Wol..as have other stuff (endocrine, more serious and hence "cascade" onto thyroid and why diagnosis has been a pain) which takes precedence.......

So....need to get focused again on health/gym/medication...which also means chucking in the booze....(can't take the medication if have any alcohol)......so unfortunately medication lost the last round to booze and trying taking time out to get all things back on course...

Thanx for the post flower and much appreciated :kisses3:...in non-lezzie way IYKWIM..;)

    xxxx

Bad Wol,:p now then Mrs, REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR MEDICATION, and also re conversation we had, about my other friend with flood type emergencies..well she too has thyroid probs and medication helps. Keep going hun, you will get there.:D:A
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

Well I'm fed up waiting for the lawnmower man to turn up with my (newly serviced) lawnmower ......left shed unlocked and off out to see the bluebells while the sun is still out.

Busy week, not helped by no sleep wednesday night (courtesy of next door - rang me at 1.30am in a real state claiming intruder had been at her door, police called, etc etc). Had to spend half an hour reassuring her.....and was not particularly sypathetic once I'd established that
    a) Dennis her rottweiler (the one who pees through the fence at me when I am in my garden) was in ful threatening bark at the front door when stranger approached
    b) her not insubstantially built husband was also in the house with her....!!!!!!,,,,why is she ringing me!!
    c) the person didn;t behave like an intruder and sauntered off - think they realised once they saw/heard Dennis that the previous occumpants (who used to get a few midnight callers) must have moved out......

Really talk about Commercial Union..........(drama/crisis spring to mind!)...:rotfl:

Needless to say, I just couldn;t settle after that and jumped out of my skin everytime one of the guineas downstairs rattled thier water bottle :o

Back to back meetings from 9am until late evening yesterday...so another late night and a bit knackered today....but looking forward to some me time this next week :D.

    Back later with piccies

Now then Wol - have you taken your meds today?

I take mine when I get out of bed so I don't have to bother with them for the rest of the day:j

I adore bluebells - I really must try and go to the woods this weekend to see them (must remember to not take anything with me like a handbag or even be seen putting something in my boot because thieves are really active up there:mad:).

Have a good day hun xx

Here's where I've been today.....5 mins down the road from me....

    Bluebells080.jpg

Here's part of a "pome" to go with it.........
If ever I saw blessing in the air
I see it now in this still early day
Where lemon-green the vaporous morning drips
Wet sunlight on the powder of my eye.

Blown bubble-film of blue, the sky wraps round
Weeds of warm light whose every root and rod
Splutters with soapy green, and all the world
Sweats with the bead of summer in its bud

From "April Rise" by Laurie Lee

Hugs to all...spring has sprung!!!! Wol is about to regenerate...
