Hunted (unsuccessfully) for verrucca ointment - may have to make an appointment at the docs to get DD some.

If you have some, you can try either the homeopathic remedy thuja on it, or lemon oil, or lavender oil or banana skin!

Mine didn't go with anything that the doctor or chirpodist gave me, but did with another chiropodist who carefully removed the dead skin around it and then put thuja drops on it (which I continued for a week or too). The others are all supposed to have anti-viral properties, and may already be in your house (so both cheap and decluttering...)

(This isn't medical advice, this is sandal-wearing treehugger type advice ;) )

Went to the gym, did 20 minutes of cardio, then a yoga class, then pilates. Have eaten while catching up on the thread and am now going to tidy up, make lunch for tomorrow, check what I'm doing at work and go to bed in the hope that all the exercise might have tired me out rather than energising me! Looks like I just might manage day 1 of my macaw...

Am booked in for a late stretch class tomorrow night too, so won't get more than a S&S done then, but have the day off to do school paperwork on Wednesday and will go to the gym in the morning so I can catch up on flying in the evening.
  • I am determined to tackle level 2 tomorrow!!! My poor oven won't know whats hit it! My kids may starve as once clean, I'll probably never cook again :) I am heading to supmkt tomorrow lunchtime for stardrops and/or soda crystals...as they seem to be the common suggestions. Any other really bright ideas for blitzing it..feel free to add in next 12 hours!! Wish me luck!

hi everyone - apparently it was really windy last night but i was so tired from my first evening flying i never heard a peep until almost 7 this morning!

    my tasks for today where:

tidy living room - done (but not dusted yet:o )
    porch - done
    hoover stairs - done
    clear cupboard - not done:o

when i planned this list i forgot tonight was parents evening so by the time we got in and had something to eat it's taken til now to do what has been done - but really pleased as until last night we would have come in sat down and that would have been that.

Where do i find what we're meant to do tomorrow?

On the first post gtx - Pigpen has posted Tuesdays stuff up already - including (thank you oh illustrious leader!) cleaning the hob! I have to do it now!

Bit more decluttering done in the front room - table dusted, shelves dusted (well some of them!) and all in al feeling quite pleased with myself for a new girl! I should get the second coat of paint on the bit of wall we're doing at the moment in the spare room too - meaning tomorrow nights job will be to get the first few shelves up. :T

Valli - thanks - I'll do inspections at the weekend
Mineallmine... I KNOW it's damp! I don't need a detector to tell me - but thanks for the idea. There's a darker patch on the paintwork and it's wet to the touch in a particular area. That thread you mentioned (thank you!)- the damp rises to only about 2 ft from the florron an external wall only- could be rising damp. Almost looks like a male dog has cocked his leg and sprayed the lower parts of the wall.. I'll have to wait until the weekend when I can investigate in daylight.
Frodders - did you get your PM from me?

But, I must to bed. Far too late tonight. See you all in the morning

  • No flying done here today except 1 x WM ??????????????

Froddy good news about the wee girl - hope you enjoyed being back at Rainbows
rosepink1984 take it easy until you feel better
PinkFairy You too -take it easy - good luck with the job applications
soappie could it be the rain coming in round the frame or the sill - until you can figure out if its rain coming in or damp then its difficult to know how to deal with it - sorry I am not much good at these things (((hugs)))
sexy hope the 'difficult' school wasnt too bad today and you survived!
newlifeahead nice to hear that flying has helped you already and you werent panicking when your visitor arrived.
crazy_lady sounds like a lovely first date - hope it continues - now that you have the flat tidy you can work on keeping it that way for prospective buyers and new gentleman friend!!! Just the cupboards to deal with
dusty hope the invigilating weny without incident today (love your ways of keeping awake at them!)- havent done my ebays yet but will do before the end of the week I promise !
LittleAnna yes honey the rooms come around each week but probably in a different order - since you have more rooms to get round perhaps you could do the unused rooms from top to bottom once a month or so and then they would just need a S&S IYSWIM - you mayneed to spread your list of rooms over 3 weeks(15days mon-fri one room a day) to make sure you get round all that are needing - would that work for you - pigpen's lists are a guide - you dont have to follow them exactly - but you could utilise the contents of her lists to make your own and still post them on here for us to see. If you work out a rota of which room is done on a particular day then it will get done regularly and there will be times when certain rooms dont need done and others more often(so you could squeeze extra times in at weekends)- with you working and studying you cannot possibly be constantly cleaning all these rooms too - hope that helps !! Maybe the others will have more ideas of dealing with the logistics!
NKJAL Hope the depression is under control a bit now - its not easy - and there are others here in the same boat - dont get too carried away just enjoy (if possible!) the challenge of bringing the sparkle back to your home.
mozzy well done on the body de-cluttering - excellent.
kazwookie nice to see you back and raring to go!!! well maybe!!
rosie-marie its lovely to here that you had time with your children because you got your home in order - thats what its all about!!! well done!!!
gsysezz cant believe your boss expected you to go in when you werent well - thats not on. I am pleased to hear that your resignation is such a relief for you and you find something that you enjoy doing soon.
emily good to hear from you and hope you will be back online at home soon. How is hubby doing?
liberty9515 nice to hear you have managed to clean and arrange your new kitchen - it will take a few weeks to get used to it and I am sure you will change things around too! Tomorrow's list will be all done for you!!!
heather38 what a lovely gift you lucky lady!
triker -hope you get over the jetlag soon and you can manage the toothache until wednesday - you will have to be excused flying me thinks for a couple of days too! (((hugs)))
MOF77 I think you were a bit too hopeful going back to tech today - you will probably need another week at least!!! And you have been bad in the garage again - the equipment was taking up space and you know it has to go ((((hugs)))))
SSsupergirl good to hear you have no arthritis in your hip - it must be the dancing on the tables that is making it dodgy! Well done Dh for christening the kitchen - well that gets tomorrows list done for you!
mudbath take it easy - your lists are getting longer again - thanks for the tips of the day - great idea.

Just in case you think I have been neglecting my meeting and greeting duties - I decided that my welcome posts are taking up too much space so I am going to do a pm to the new people as it looks as though they dont actually manage to read the welcome post on the thread. If anybody thinks this is a bad idea perhaps you could pm me.
