Big plate of dog biscuits.. should be enough for everyone.. I've done.. nothing!!! I didn't even cook dinner!!
I got the uniforms out tonight.. but.. I did help a fellow student with some work and her UCAS form, I did get mine sorted and chased a couple of references.. The ones I read I swear were written about someone other than me.
Tomorrow I SHALL try harder... greenbee.. stop giving the game away...(the 'if you want to post you have to do some work first' game!!)

Morning all.
I have done no flying today(12th not 13th). Not even the washing up:eek: . Hope that is not a strict prerequisite for posting. I have fed and bath the LOs and that’s about it. I did my level 1 for Mon on Sun and will do level 1 for Tue on Wed. So no flying for me either on Tue unless DH doesn’t do the washing up then I’ll be forced to do it, a good thing it’s kitchen. Dinner today was left overs (almost put LO SS would be on me as would the police)
I had ½ of my department review today and that went well. Though at 2:30am Mon morning I realised that it was Mon and not Tue. So I had to tweak my power point and tidy up my marking before I could sleep. Jobs I had planned to do Mon night. This has brought me probably one straw shy on the camels back. So I will be starting the MACAW and it will be to: DEAL WITH THINGS STRAIGHT AWAY AND SCHEDULE THOSE THAT CAN NOT BE DONE THEN - NOT LEAVE IT FOR LATER. (will up date sig later)
Tom/today is yr 11 parents evening and I am booked up to 1730 meaning I’ll finish somewhere around 1830:eek:  . Still to do for that is to locate my study guide and update list of individual targets from the year 11 mocks. I will do that in my protected free on Tue. Hopefully as I sort my house out and get on top of things I can get things done with time to spare so I can then work on an earlier bed time   .
Toots - I rely on you and others whose post reply to everyone to keep me up to date on what’s happening and from reading everything. G knows I can’t spare the time at the moment. This thread is helping me and others to stay on top of things but it’s just as bad without personality as if we can’t keep up. So it’s finding the right balance. What will help me and maybe some others is how to make multiple quotes in one post.
Well I have rambled on for far too long. I will go to bed now, a long day ahead.
Welcome all new to the thread :hello: and ((hugs)) to all who need them:grouphug:.
Happy flying irie. The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.0 -
Oh blimey.
Have just been into the front room (remember when I bought the new futon etc. and bleached down the wall because of mildew?) Well, there's a bay window which the new futon backs onto. Part of the portion of wall under the window is suddenly very, and visibly and tactiley damp. It certainly wasn't at the weekend.
Now, we've had rain today. Is this a drainage problem, a rising damp problem or an 'oh my god the house is falling down problem'?
Anyone have any clues? And any flylady OS ways of dealing with it?
Hi Soappie,
It could be lots of things (obviously), but I would check the following:
Worst case senarios:
any burst pipes around the base of the wall because of the freezing weather and sudden warm change... although because it's UP the wall, probably unlikely
Rising damp, although this would have been over weeks and you would have noticed it before.
Probable reasons:
Check your guttering has not dropped down above that area, causing rain water to come down outside of wall instead of flowing away normally.
Guttering could also be blocked, causing an overflow down the wall.
Both of these would cause water to soak in and make it damp.
You may have a leaking window and if the rain was being blown that way, it may have come in.
Your damp course may have gone - an fairly expensive but easily repairable thing
Hope that helps Soappie - and I hope it is just your guttering - usually is, and that's really easy to get sorted.LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
Ooops just found this not looking good hun
from an old MSE postRe: Save zillions on cleaning products
Don't use vinegar for removing limescale deposits on gold-coloured taps or shower heads with "gold" parts - it will leave a black deposit on the gold.
The deposit will eventually come off with time though if you've already made this mistake!
My mum did the same - it sends gold type taps black and shouldn't be used. It does come off eventually, but don't use anything harsh on it as it will damage them... just time I'm afraid.LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

Hi All,
Sorry have not posted for a couple of weeks, but I have been flying!! I signed up to getting the flylady emails again, to get me back to basics. I must admit the house is looking better already. My bathroom and kitchen are swished and swiped every day, I am on top of the laundry as am doing a load every day and the washing up is done every evening before I go to bed (refuse to actually 'shine' my sink tho, really don't see the point!!). Have also started clearing junk and have freecycled quite a bit of stuff already.
Anyway, just thought I would let you all know that I haven't forgotten you all and I am still plugging away!!

Morning everyone,
Flower - don't you sleep?
Didn't get much done yesterday, flying wise. Had to go to work. Though I did sort all the ebay stuff I'd sold, packaged and posted it. Photographed a load more to list today. So I need to list 6 things today cos I didn't list any yesterday. Count me in on the Ebay challenge as well.
I don't have to go to work today :j so can concentrate on the house. I will be doing several HHC so I hope there's a few of you around to join me. Now I need to locate a list and I think I might get cracking.0 -
Morning all
Thanks everyone for the thoughts on the damp. Such a shame I can't get to look at it until the weekend. It's dark when I leave and dark when I get home....
I'm hoping it's just the guttering or something. I've never noticed it so wet before. The carpet's dry, as is the sill and the skirting board. I don't think there are any pipes anywhere there to have frozen (radiator's on the inside wall). And I really hope it's not the damp proof course. That was replaced on that wall (and others) when I moved in about 19 years ago.
Right, must bath, make sandwiches then off to work.
I will work on Pigpen's list tonight. Have a good flying day everyone.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning All
I'm going to stick the oven shelves in the bath in a min - not sure that I'll actually clean the oven but at least I'll have done the shelves!
Going to do a HHI before I go to work - I will get on top of it - TAG - you could join me and do a HHC - shall we say 7?
Hope everyone has a good day
Hugs to all
