I actually managed to vac DD1's bedroom. For days I've been asking nicely for her to tidy up and put away all the clean clothes, which find their way to her floor then stop! I went in there this morning and nearly cried. I told her off, and she did do a quick tidy round before going to school. I had to put her clothes away though. I can't dust her room - every surface is filled with clutter . She's just like I was at her age :rotfl:
My M.A.C.A.W challenge this week is..............
I've bookmarked a whole load of openlearn courses from the OU, and I'm going to make sure I do at least an hour a day. My brain is going to mush being stuck at home with a toddler  I'm also going to go through my 'ufos' and finish them off (Craftyscholar will understand what I'm on about I'm sure)
Just need to vac downstairs and the lounge. Just off to clean the sticky finger marks off the windows in here :rolleyes:0 -
toottifrootti wrote: »Thanks flower and AnW's MUm - I hear what you are saying but when I look back over my posts I see that I am really only replying to other people's chat and not really about flying! If I am honest I have done very little flying recently - I start off the week ok and then it just disappears and because the thread has been so long no-one has noticed that I havent posted a list for days.
I cant really do just 'relevant' posts - I am incapable of keeping quiet! I think I will have to train myself to just post lists for a while!
I certainly couldnt cope with a parallel chat thread - I hardly manage to keep up with other threads and emails as it is.
toots xx
Then it will be my mission to check you are noticed and doing your lists - well, you are noticed if you don't post, but I get what you mean about the lists...
But all your posts are relevant - you offer great help and advice to people and also, you have been there - your table saga and how you came through it is just a small part of it. I know the thread is big - the same thing has just happened on the GC - and I know when I'm working I will never catch up, but this thread is for people with more than housework to sort out - when we have clutter in our lives, we have clutter in our minds and I know a lot of people have benefited from your wise words and helpful demeanour.
My personal opinion is with you and others not posting it will make this particular thread less than what it is now - I'm not talking general chat, like the thanks challenge and what programmes we're watching, etc (not that they are not worthwhile subjects!) but the life [STRIKE]problems[/STRIKE] hiccups that we all face are often the reason we all get CBA syndrome and fall behind in our housework in the first place.
If I can explain - it is the 'family' of people on here that has got my house clean and has got me believing that I can do stuff - no small feat I can tell you. My friends are far and wide, but here you are all in the same room as me with a coffee and a hug, and you are a bit part of that Toots - DO NOT DISAPPEAR PLEASE - we all need you!
OK, rant over... sorry about that, just wanted to explain my feelings on the matter...:oLBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

Well putand agreed with, plus the rest of your post. The prospect of trying to keep up elsewhere as well fills me with doom!
Off to declutter the stairs and then lunch. This afternoon I am nipping down to Mum and Dad's to get the low down on what they want me to keep an eye on while they are away in the Southern Hemisphere for 6 weeks :eek:Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

 I'm still here but it really is very quiet! So either everyone is busy tidying or doesn't dare post anything.
Currently sewing badges onto a Cub jumper. Forgot to do it and DD1 has Cubs tonight! Also lost one of the badges as I put it somewhere safe, although I have seen it in the last day or so.
