Norman B has got the right idea, at the end of the day everyone loves a bargain but if you don't get the 'deal' then why moan, how is that genuine? Like I have said before, this is not a glitch, the till isn't allowing it because that isn't the deal and like I also said before, the deal is represented with colour stripping as is the £5 meal deal...Personally I would not be confused with this and believe that most other customers would be, can all of you honestly say that you would have noticed the error had it not of been pointed out on here? Because I don't think many of you could say that, and in my eyes that is not genuine your jumping on the bangwagon for personal gain, how can anyone claim that to be genuine?
Also just seen on the news that Tesco are planning to create 10,000 new jobs...Lets just say that most people posting on this thread need not apply!
So now you are saying that we are all wrong for picking up bargains just because someone noticed it and posted it here? What tripe. You know why this site is here.
Anyway, any bottle of wine means just that, end of.
At least M&S state the wine in their £10 deal.
As for your last statement, pathetic.0 -

That's not "making the point again" - that's "embellishing what you originally said for dramatic effect".
Losing the argument perchance?0 -

Totally agree, Tesco employees trying to argue about something that is quite clear on its advertising, yet rather than advise their inadequate advertising department it has screwed up, they are on here trying to tell us we are immoral, i think they have got that the wrong way round.0 -
The best thing about this thread is seeing all the old faces from the R&R days, Ben500, Constantine etc0

So anyone that looks at a post on the Grabitnow section is also "Jumping on the bandwagon" and not a genuine customer.
I ordered a mobile phone from orange a couple of weeks ago that I saw posted on here, a samsung F210 for £18.50. I was looking for a new mobile and saw that deal posted on here and took it up, got myself a nice cheap phone and very happy with it. So using your logic, I wasnt a genuine customer but instead a bandwagon jumper that only got the phone because it was posted here?
I'm always in the market for cheap food and wine, if I see a deal posted on here why not follow up on it just as I did with the phone?
The food/wine offer would have meant cheap drink thanks to the loophole of Tescos policy.
I can hand on my heart say that I probably wouldnt have noticed this offer if it wasnt posted on here as I never look at the ready meals bit because they are generally rubbish. Your main problem is that you dont like it when customers use the policy to get cheap food and drink.
The reason most people actively go looking for these misprices is not because they are greedy, they just know a good deal when they see it. The chance of getting a £15 bottle of wine for £9 (or less) including food is worth standing at the CS desk for.
What makes people so irate is the inconsistancy of the CS staff, I have been in a queue at CS desk in the past and watched the CS woman give the person in front of me R&R on an Indiana Jones box set actually telling him that "since we overcharged you you get your money back and keep the product" When she served me she suddenly forgot what R&R was and denied all knowledge of it, was it the way I was dressed? Was it my haircut? Did I have dirty fingernails? No, I was overcharged on a £130 printer and she just didnt want to give me a refund in exactly the same way she gave a refund on a dvd box set! But obviously, in stead of saying so, she tried to lie and cheat her way out of it, I had to point to the sign and read it out to her, she then said "Oh that only applies to food products" which is when I pointed out she had just given a refund on a DVD so how could it?
Why do *some* CS staff feel it is nessasary to lie to customers?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

In fact, I lowered my voice to placate the shouting CS woman and to stop getting attention from other shoppers. I was humiliated. I tried to argue my case and work with the CS to reach an agreement but they were being completely out of order, to be frank.
Public humiliation is perhaps suitable punishment for your greed.0 -
Rather than arguing, has anyone actually taken advantage of this error?0

Rather hypocritical of someone that uses the double the difference policy themselves isnt it?

I'm not trying to make a living out of Tesco mistakes. You have tried to use the information on this thread to take advantage. It is really poor form and impacts on the rest of us in terms of prices and 'loyalty, and is a very negative and unattractive trait.
My apologies for claiming a DTD pet. Dry your eyes. :rolleyes:0 -

We can always take your hypocracy into consideration, having looked at your posts it would seem you have nothing better to do than spend your time posting deliberately provocative jibes at other users whilst making good use of the site yourself.
What are your observations on the greed of Tesco then considering it allows misprices to prevail for weeks on end despite being aware of them?Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0
