It's not the correct solution actually, the correct solution being aware of the problem is for Tesco head office to act and ensure all misleading pos is removed but that is not as profitable as doing nothing. The stores that act independantly are to be commended but head office should be the ones acting each and every time they become aware of such a problem not just in cases where they are losing xboxes hand over fist. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. This thread has just reminded me why I no longer choose to shop at Tesco!! Thanks :TIf you don't want to know my opinion, don't ask for it!0

Tesco is always our shop of last resort these days.
Sadly we don't have a Morrisons near by but we do have.
Lidl, Sainsburys, and Tesco all local and an ASDA that is a few miles away.
So we tend to get what we can from Lidl, as they have a limited choice you can't get everything there. So we when we need some petrol we make a trip to Asda as their petrol is always at least 2p cheaper than Tesco & Sainsburys, I'm sure the difference is used up in the 5 mile journey but it means that we can shop at ASDA and have the satisfaction of not paying the prices that Tesco & Sainsburys charge. Sainsburys then for anything that we can't get at the other two. That just leaves Tesco for offers or items that only they have.
It feels good to not spend money at Tesco0 -
Abuse your customer base at your peril.

If Tesco didn't have the 4x the value of your Clubcard deals, then I'd drop them altogether. I just am saving them up and then will probably splurge them on a nice experience day, I don't even know what they offer but I was thinking along the lines of a hot air ballooning day or something....0

See now many of you are questioning what a genuine customer actually is but many of you are actually more concerned about going into Tesco with your sleeves rolled up to try and make money out of Tesco, how is this not laughable! Norman B has got the right idea, at the end of the day everyone loves a bargain but if you don't get the 'deal' then why moan, how is that genuine? Like I have said before, this is not a glitch, the till isn't allowing it because that isn't the deal and like I also said before, the deal is represented with colour stripping as is the £5 meal deal...Personally I would not be confused with this and believe that most other customers would be, can all of you honestly say that you would have noticed the error had it not of been pointed out on here? Because I don't think many of you could say that, and in my eyes that is not genuine your jumping on the bangwagon for personal gain, how can anyone claim that to be genuine? Yes, you may be filling the tills with money but how much of that comes back as DTD? If offers are supposed to be on and seriously didn't work then fine go to CSD and staff will happily give you a refund, I think I need to make the point about the juice again as it seems one or two still aren't really getting it, a customer was actually verbally abusing the CSD staff over a maximum of 11p overcharge (this calculated as adding the cost of the most expensive juices and working out the difference) how is this customer in the right, yes they had been overcharged but is that really the right was of going about it, no! Its like someone else had said, treat others how you would like to be treated, i.e. if you are rude to someone don't expect them to just take it, how is that genuine?
Also just seen on the news that Tesco are planning to create 10,000 new jobs...Lets just say that most people posting on this thread need not apply!0 -

What is so difficult for you to grasp about the fact that any customer being overcharged is entitled to avail themselves of tlhe contractual obligation that Tesco has entered into? If the customer was given dtd without any resistance it is doubtful they would react negatively, however it is understandable if one or two get a little irate when someone like yourself and CG seem to think they can select who they fulfill their contractual obligations to based on your own personal assessment of that customer, I'll say it again on what qualification and criteria do you make such a judgement? Also what exactly is it that you feel gives you the right to violate a customers contractual rights?
There are many online dictionaries for you to look up the word "Any" and its definitions, any and I mean ANY store that has this pos is obliged under current legislation to reimburse the customer as per contract. '
If I went into Tesco and helped myself to 30p worth of goods without their permission I would quite rightly be accused of theft, for Tesco to steal money from my pocket by deception and subterfuge rather than physicaly sending individuals around the stores to lift customers purses or pick their pockets is not different. Theft is theft and currently Tesco is stealing from its customers daily and seems to think it is beyond the law and has left many of it's staff with this belief also. Why do so many staff seek to add insult to injury by deliberately obstructing their customers? If your in the wrong cough up remove pos and retain your customers confidence, you won't win an arguement with a customer just create busines for your competitors. Maybe Tesco could do with employing some "genuine" customer service personel who do their job properly rather than the likes of yourselves who are merely chasing customers away to competitors.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
