  • ALWAYS note serial number and any other codes of items you sell. Also mark with pen for infra red tracing somewhere on the unit.A widescale ploy now is to buy faulty goods and try exchange them with perfect order goods from places like ebay.

just a thought..... it is sneaky and goes against what ebay is about but oh well! Set up a new account just to bid on 'his' ps2. Bid it above what you sold him it for. He will decide not to post it to you as he expects to get more money off this other buyer! Then you get a refund (no chance of sabotaged ps2) and refuse to buy the ps2 when you win on this other account!

Not sure if anybody has noticed this yet, but the two bidders on the item have both got zero feedback and also both registered for less than a week! Very fishy, looks like he will be buying it off himself!

If he sends you a different one you will still lose the PayPal claim, but can you sue him for fraud through the small claims court?
  • If you he returns you a faulty PS2 you should bid on his listing (be sure to bid high so you win) then claim a refund through Paypal saying you received faulty goods. Keep the working PS2 and send back the faulty one to get your refund.
A lot of faffing about I know but it gets him back and you can then leave him a neg!
This is what I would do, but then again I am quite vindictive - lol

Go down to the Royal Mail depot and try to pick it up there. Normally they at least let you look at the parcel before having to sign. They might even be nice enough to let you open it if you explain someone is potentially trying to commit fraud...

At least you have the serial number, so could potentially try other avenues if he's sent a different one back.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
