What with the combined Ebay/Paypal charges, it's generally become a pointless exercise that just makes money for them and leaves the seller totally vunerable to a dishonest buyer.
You're stuffed, Ebay/Paypal won't be bothered - they've got their cut already and therefore you're just a nuisance. Best write the loss off and join us in the ex-Ebay Seller crowd.
...I still buy stuff from eBay - but then I know that I am an honest British person who traded openly using my own name and that I'm some-one could not bear the thought of anyone thinking I'd ripped them off.
 Phew, that's alright then.
Thank God you're not one of those doggy foreigners with their strange ways and odd food.

I may email the guy and ask if the Playstaion 2 works just to see what he says.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0

I messaged him via ebay and pointed him to this thread so he can put up his own defence rather than have people slagging him off with no right of reply.
What are the odds he replies ?Wins: pink kids laptop 0 0

 Figured they would
I wonder if he will pull the one he is listing, guess he'll have to if he is going to send it back. At least you will have the PS2 back in your hands to sell again, assuming that he doesn't sabotage it.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

Make sure you check any special deliveries before you sign for them. He could send a load of !!!!!! back to you and claim delivery with the tracking number. The shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T0

someone as bid on it so he might not send it back, what do i do when i do get it, can i open it before signing for it ??
will paypal only refund him when they see it is signed for then ??
i did think he may put a different ps2 in the box (which was his and broken)
if whats in the box is not mine, do i just tape it back up and ask the postman to return to him ?? but then he might get my ps2 and my refund !!
unsure how this works never been in this situation !!0

He has to prove that he has posted it back to you by providing a tracking number, but of course that number doesn't say what was actually in the box when you received it.
You can probably take a peek before signing for it, but then if it shows up on RM as refused then he will probably get a refund anyway.
I still say that you should put in a claim for damage from Royal Mail, at least you will get some cash back, and it isn't dishonest really as you sent a fully working console that arrived damaged as far as you know, so your conscience is clear. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0
